A suggestion: if replaced the wheel--there are two cables from it to nearby metal box---one is conventional but can be hard to plug in---the other is a ribbon cable----IT ONLY HAS CONTACTS ON ONE SIDE WHERE IT PLUGS IN AND CAN BE INSTALLED BACKWARDS--contacts usually face the rear of the set.

Our three year ol Samsung
Welcome to fixYa!
When you see lines like these across your LCD, it indicates a problem with your monitor's electrolytic capacitors.A faulty filter capacitor in the power supply board (SMPS board) can cause horizontal lines across your monitor screen.Horizontal screen lines are one of the most visible problems I see in LCD monitors & TV's that are 3-7 years old. It can happen as much from heat, humidity & less-than-ideal operating conditions, as it can from fluctuating current supply or manufacturing defects.
The way to repair horizontal screen lines is by removing the capacitors from the printed circuit board (PCB) and testing them with a LCR meter.
If it shows zero, there's your confirmation that the specific capacitor needs to be replaced.
now if you can replace them your welcome but i wont suggest that , cause you may break it more....!
any ways do comment if it helped you in any manner!

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, greenish, or blueish or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as

You may have a couple of problems. The shading is probably caused by a defective light tunnel, Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on certain models. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if it is covered. The noise and color distortion sound like the color wheel is also beginning to fail. Both of these components are inside the light engine and I would recommend not trying it yourself.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems that you have to
replace the convergence IC and check power resistor for leakage, if values are
not exact you have to replace them. The typical cost to get this fixed by a pro
is about $300 - and it doesn't mean that he/they will do a job better than you
do. The parts are less than $100 (about $20-$30 for the IC's) if you want to do
it yourself. Replacing only the IC's MAY solve the problem; however, many
people have also had blown resistors requiring replacement. Why would you ask
should you replace both of the IC's if only one is shot?! If one is shot the
other one is not far away and for that little price of the chips it worth
changing them both at the same time. Also the convergence board should be
checked for cracked solder. If you replace the ICs and the resistors are shot,
the ICs may blow again almost immediately, meaning you may have to do the
repair twice.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks

Hi
Please try and use a diffrent power socket with a grounded connection(3 prong). Also, check the power cable if there is any cut on the wire. If the wire is fine then it is due to loose connections inside the TV or due to overheating of power supply capacitors.
You'll need to open the Tv in order to check for loose connections. Please turn off the TV for one hour before doing this. Also check for burnt capacitors on the power supply board. Use a multimeter to check the capacitor. Remember to drain the capacitor by shorting its terminals with a thick insulated screw driver before checking it with a multimeter.
Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.
Thanks
