I had the same problem. The following worked for me and the 46d7000 qwerty remote. Try this: unplug TV. Then press power button until the red led turns off (5 sec or so). One themed is off, plug in tv and power on and try the pairing again.

I have a Samsung 7000

I am going to assume you have the PN51D7000FFXZA. You need to first go and download the following Firmware update that was released on June 1, 2011, if you have not installed it already. This upgrade has instructions on the same page detailing how to perform the upgrade. You should also look at the "Software" tab and download the new "AllShare" program. released om July 29, 2011 for your P.C.

On this page click "Firmware" to get firmware Upgrade and Firmware Upgrade Guide

Now let's address your two issues.

1. The network issue is probably not that hard to identify the problem.

What type of adapter are you using for the TV to connect to the Wireless Router?

Is it a "Samsung Wireless LAN adapter" (WIS09ABGN, WIS09ABGN2, or WIS10ABGN)?
This is the only NIC that your TV supports, so any other USB NIC will not work. It will see the network and try to connect, but it will not complete the connection as it is not support by the TV.

Is your router setup for 802.11n or 802.11a/b/g? (If you select the Pure High-throughput (Greenfield) 802.11n mode and the Encryption type is set to WEP, TKIP or TKIP AES (WPS2Mixed) on your wireless router, Samsung TVs will not support a connection in compliance with new Wi- Fi certification specifications.)

As for the remote, what make and model remote are you using?

Having problems pairing the remote

Make sure to hold the remote near the bottom right of the tv. There is a red LED and an IR receiver there. The remote needs to be pointed at this area and within 6 inches of the tv to pair the Bluetooth. Samsung doesn't mention this anywhere and I almost returned the tv before the salesman told me about this.

I purchased a Magnavox Digital Viedo Disc

I have a Samsung Blue Ray and haven't had a lot of luck with getting the remote to control anything but my Blue Ray and documentation is hard to come by. I just posted this solution on another similar topic but I think you should try the Synergy V remote. I got mine for free from Time Warner but this seems to be a reasonably priced remote and the most versatile. I've spent up to $100 on universal remotes but this free/inexpensive one does the best job for me and I really liked the price:

I've found that you can use a Synergy V Universal Remote which is supplied by some cable companies like Time Warner, RCN etc. You can also buy this remote. This remote does a good job of controlling all my different components including my LG TV, Bose Sound and Cable Box.
This pdf seems to be best reference.
but there a several others out there if you google for Synergy V.

Hi I have samsung TV Model# LN46A650A1FXZA.

Hi,

The problem could either be with the remote infra-red (IR) transmitter or with the TV IR receiver.

There is a simple DIY way to check whether your remote is still sending a signal to the TV. The infra-red flashes from the remote cannot be seen with the naked eye, but they ARE visble when viewed through a video camera. It's easier to do this with 2 people, but it can be done by one person with the camera in one hand and the remote in the other.

Turn the TV off and point the remote at the video camera and press several buttons. If you CAN'T see the flashes through the camera view finder, it's likely the IR transmitter in the remote is dead or there is some other major fault with the remote. the simplest thing to do here would be to replace the remote. If you can see the flashes, it's likely to be the IR receiver in the TV, but this isn't really a DIY fix.

I've used an analogue (tape) video camera for this test, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work on a digital video camera or possibly even a digital/phone camera.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

ON OFF SWITCH JUST QUIT

Sounds like a failed or at least failing power supply / power board inside the TV. Unfortunately this is a very difficult repair, and unless you are an electrician I would not recommend attempting it. You will need to contact a local TV repair person in your area. This is actually the most common problem with this type of TV, I see it every day, it just happens - sometimes with new TVs and sometimes it takes many years for it to happen.

If you think it may still be under warranty please contact the manufacturer to file an RMA. If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.

If you want to attempt the repair yourself please let me know and I will get you the part number and a place you can purchase it from for what you need.

So sorry that I don't have better news but it is definitely a power issue internally.

Thanks
Tim

I have a 40 inch

that is a cause of static from the main board due to accumulation of dirt and stains cleaning the mainboard will solve the problem.
To do this unplug the TV open the back cover and you can easily acces the main board use a paintbrush to remove the dirt specially on the quad pack IC thoroughly clean the pins of this IC be careful not to apply excessive force it will broke the pins connectors.Use a thin pointed tool to pick the dirt in inbetween the pins of the IC..good luck hope this helps.
Post back a message if you have other question or if this solution didn't help..
