Either the power supply is shot or the set is in sleep mode. Can you press any other buttons beside channel. Or can you press numbers?

Check power board for capacitors with swollen tops. Replace them with same mfd value but slightly higher voltage value. Example if 1000mfd/10v use 1000mfd/16v.

If it is a green line it is more thsn likely the pixels which have gone in the television..fixing this can be costly but if under manufacturs warranty bring it back to the store!

First check the Back Light setting. Make sure that it is not set to Maximum as this will cause this. If that does not work then you probably have a bad Panel. Call 1-800-Samsung to arrange for a service appointment.

There are a number of causes. First The T-Con bd has gone bad. Second the Main bd is bad and third the LCD Panel is bad. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the problem

is it going up and down the screen? if so, it could be a slight adj, or the lcd panel is going bad. the tv needs to be opened and ebay the physical model of the lcd panel. questions email me

I have found the solution at last :)
Put the TV in standby and press these buttons in order
Info, Menu, Mute and Power on.
You will then see a hidden menu, on line 12 select reset
Bingo :)

Sounds like your power board is failing. contact samsung tech support and describe your problem. some parts on samsung have lifetime warranties and the service call is free.

most probably the inverter board is broken.
please check the inverter board.
if the inverter board works well then it must be the Back light.

I took it back and got a full refund.

get a universal remote. follow the ins. for programing that comes with the remote. a radio shack associate can explane it in detail. if you have more problems e me.

The area around the lamp needs to be "dusted" Buy a can of compresed air and blow all of the components near the lamp out. You will have to pull the back of the set off to do this. While you are in there you may as well go ahead and blow off the rest of the componenets. Good Luck! If this was usefull, please take a moment and rate this solution!

Usually not but in some cases gently massageing the dot(tv turned on or off try both) with your finger may work (dont push too hard)

your chances are slim though this is usually a defect in the lcd technology and most manufactures only warranty it for 5-7 stuck pixels

Hi, I have just had same problem and rang Samsung who sorted it ! All that was required was to reset remote by taking out the batteries then press power for approx 10 seconds and then replace the batteries and hey presto it worked!

The Tv is defective. You have to call Corian and get an RM # to return it because it is a defective piece of ****. I had to do the same thing and just spent $33.00 to ship it back to California. They have no idea when I will get a new TV or waht kind it will even be.

There's a product called Monster ScreenClean. They are available at places the sell LCD's/Plasma Displays. Not Cheap. $10 buck+.

or you can buy a microfiber towel to just wipe the dust.

Do not use any cleaner solution that is not specifically made for TV monitors (Plasma/LCDs).

Try unplugging the TV and give it a minute or so, then plug it back in. Sometimes the computer inside gets wonky. Completely removing power will reset it, but just turning it off and on doesn't change anything.

If there is still no signal, verify that the source is actually functioning and that all your connecting cables are still firmly in the right places.
