LE40M87BD lcd tv will not switch on.it just

If you have soem expertise, and at your own risk, it may be a faulty electrolitic capacitor inside the unit. If a capacitor is bulgling or emitting black/brown gunge from a raised dome, (like a faulty tin of food) this is a likely culprit unless the switch itself is faulty. Doing this yourself with probabaly invalidate any remaining guarantee. With care, the most difficult thing is not to break the plastic surround.

I have a Samsung 32

The only option you have with a standard DirecTV box is using composite or s-video connection to your TV. These are much better options than using the RF tuner input and will give you stereo audio. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks...

Broken screen

If it's physically broken then it's not repairable and must be replaced.

It's not even that straightforward though as the 32" LCD screen unit is the single most expensive component in manufacturing your tv and the supply and installation of a new screen will cost as much if not more than the cost of a brand new model.

If you have accidental damage insurance then now is the time to consider making a claim.

I HAVE A 32INC, SAMSUNG LCD, AND THE SCREEN IS HAS

Sounds like there was physical damage to the LCD panel. This can only be fixed by replacing the whole LCD panel which will cost you around $600 just for the part. A repair shop will usually charge around $200 for labor. The only alternative is to purchase a new TV which will usually cost about the same price and will come with a one year warranty.

Just moved into flat and my tv keeps saying no

You will have to retune the TV to the incoming signal, if you have tried this & still get "no signal" then you will need to check the incoming aerial connection & if there is a good aerial fitted for the flat.

Cannot retune freeview on flat screen samsung

Hello Terri
Let's see if we can get you sorted out.
Make sure that you first of all have an aerial cable plugged into the TV.
Secondly make sure that you have it on a DTV (freeview channel) once you are at this stage press the MENU button on the remote. then go down to CHANNEL then across to Auto store and then follow the on screen messages.

That should be you all sorted out. If not then you may not be getting a strong enough signal from you aerial.

Hope all goes well. Please leave a thumbs up

Cheers

While trying to tune in my le32r7 tv..I find that

Just got through to Samsung support. Turns out the freeview card had frozen and needed a reset. To do this put tv on standby. then press in serries these buttons on the remote: 'info' 'menu' 'mute' 'power' TV will then turn on with a default screen. Press 'arrow down' button untill you reach option 12 'reset' . then push the 'right arrow' and tv will reset and start in plug and play mode and commence a scan when you've set the time. Just retuned mine and its back to normal. Hoorah!!! :-)

Retuning digital TV

You need to use the (what looks like a large sattellite) button to retune your tv.
Some Samsung tv's let you access the button but other models have a "D MENU" button on the remote. Press this button, then scroll down to the icon that looks like a large sattellite. Then scroll across and click on "Auto Store" this will then go through all the available channels

make sure the rf is set to on
Remember the channel rf number,

go to your television the link is to.
go to menu then setup and then manual tune
select the channel you want to view sky on. normally channel 6 on your analogue
then go to Channel type in whatever the rf setting was on your main sky box then press save.

that is your telly sorted out. if you have a magic eye connected at the link end you should see a red led light lit up.
if not remove the magic eye and connect it straight into the back of your sky box RF2
just to make sure that the eye is not at fault.

hope this helps
ill check in a day or two to see if you need more help.
