Its remote control sensor is not working
I have had to replace that IR sensor several times and I have also seen the wiring for the sensor being pinched by the back cover. You can call 1-800-samsung for the nearest service center.

Cleaning lady applied to much pressure
Depends upon what the swipe marks are, exactly.
If they're just residues of whatever she used, then you should try gently wiping the screen down with a clean lint free cloth lightly moistened with a tiny amount of distilled water (the same type used to fill car batteries and steam irons). Re-fold the cloth regularly so that any dirt it picks up does not simply get laid back down elsewhere nor causes scatches. A microfibre cloth is ideal for this as it's also quite effective at lifting silicone wax residues left by many furniture polishes, although it may take a few attempts before the screen is acceptable again.
If the cleaning agent used was abrasive or contained certain solvents then it may have physically damaged the screen. The only cure is to replace the screen but that's rarely cost effective as it's overwhelmingly the single most expensive component of the tv.
If too much pressure was applied then the screen will either recover over a few days or it won't. if it doesn't then your back with the problem of replacing the screen.
In future, never, ever, let ANYONE but yourself dust and if necessary clean the screens of any of your tv's, monitors or similar devices. If you allow them to clean the casings then ensure that they know the correct way to do so (no chemicals, clean slightly dampened cloth ONLY) or do it yourself.

I have a Sony KDL 46XBR4 LCD TV. Perfect sound but
You probably have a bad LCD Panel. It is a common failure. If the unit is out of warranty, call Sony at 1800-222-SONY and see if they could help with the cost of repair. They would require a Service facility to evaluate it to be sure it is the Panel.
Hope this helps,

Tv turns on just fine.
Yes the t-con board also called video driver board. You can run a small diagnostic to confirm the issue. Turn on your set and darken the room. See if you notice a dull glow on the screen. If there is then its confirmed that its a t-con board as the glow indicates that the backlight is functional. Once you confirm this I will look up the part number and guide you with the repair. You can do this repair yourself as it is pretty easy.

Hi,
Its problem of leaky electrolytic capacitors in power supply board.
If you are handy with electronics stuff repair and can solder parts in circuit board then check swollen top electrolytic capacitors in power supply board and replace them with same rating.
Required capacitors would be available with Radio Shack or nearby tv repair shop.
If you feel uncomfortable doing so, local tech can do this work for you or replace power supply board to fix TV problem.
Part number of power supply board would be written on it.
Hope this info will help you.
Thanks.

How too make work the small pip on a 52
All pip or pop features must have 2 seperate and distinct video sources. With your tv you can choose to have cable split with a 2-way splitter and one feed to cable box and the other directly to a second ant connection on back of tv. If you only have 1 rf input on tv then your second source would have to be from a vcr or dvd etc. once you have 2 seperate sources going you select pip and choose what source you want and both main screen and pip screen will appear. obviously you will only have audio on main screen so if you want to hear pip you have to switch back and forth.

Howdy,
It sounds like you have a Power Supply Board problem. The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM811, CM812, CM817 & CS806; 1000ufd 25volts.
Good Luck, Big IRISH.

My 46 in. flat screen distorts color after about
Be sure its not the input signal too the tv that's flawed, first. If your using a cable signal when this happens, try using a dvd player for an hour or two and see if the same disturbance occurs. Let me know what happens next....
note:
try using the dvd on different inputs for an hour like hdmi, component, A/V, see if the problem still occurs on each input. This info will help towards the next step.
