Hello, I just answered someone else with the similar problem. I don't know if this will solve your issue but you can at least rule it out.
I have a different brand flat screen that had the same problem. I would
turn it on and it would play for few minutes (sometimes even an hour
without a problem) but then it would suddenly turn off and it would take
some time until I could start it back again.
I've checked the internet, called the company and finally decided to take it back to the store.
Then I discovered the problem.. It sounds ridiculous I know but the electricity plug where it connects to the TV
was faulty. So my TV would be on, then it would just go off due to lack
of power. After discovering this we fixed the cord and for months now it's been working fine. It never turns off by itself anymore.
Maybe the same thing happened to your TV which is a very easy fix, so take a look at the cord before you send it in for repairs.
Good luck :)

When i turn the power on it cycles off immediately
In most cases it is the capacitors in he power supply section that have gone out.
Common symtoms are
-shuts down
-takes a long time to come on
-relay clicks
-dead set
You can get capacitors online or you can get a complete kit with instructions and support from
www.TvRepairKits.com . Its a failry easy DIY fix.

Samsung LCD TV liquid crystal panel is not turning
Power supply? Need troubleshooting first.
The T-CON board fuse will be the first place to look, you need to find out if the T-CON board is receiving the 12vdc from the main board first.
See example of dead T-CON board.
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

I have a LN40A330J1D Flat
Sounds like a failed or at least failing power supply / power board inside the TV.
Unfortunately this is a very difficult repair, and unless you are an
electrician I would not recommend attempting it. You will need to
contact a local TV repair person in your area. I am quite certain that is what it is, that is exactly what the blinking power light indicates. It is getting enough power through the power supply to light that little indicator light, but it can't power up the TV itself.
This is the most common problem with all LCD tv's unfortunately, and for whatever reason it is very common in Samsung models :(.
So sorry that I don't have better news but it is definitely a power issue internally.
Thanks
Tim

I have a Samsung LCD LNR408DX/XAA when I go to
I am now having this same exact problem.
Apparently there are 4 boards that can be the issue. BUT you must bring it to an Authorized unauthorized service center to resolve the issue. I brought mine to an unauthorized service center and they can not buy the part. My particular issue is a TCOM board on the back of the display which only authorized dealers can buy. In fact if an Unauthoirzed dealer calls up the J&J Samsung parts distributor J&J doesn't even have it their parts inventory so as far as they know the part doesn't exist. which it does you just need to call an Authorized part dealer in your area which you can get the number from 800 SAMSUNG
There are 4 boards unauthorized service centers are allowed to sell 2 PC BOARDS
1 POD PCB
1 Power PCB
When you call Samsung get a CLAIM nuber...
