Samsung LN-S4692D 46 in. LCD HDTV - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Same "clicking" problem with 46" Samsung LCD...does not turn on.
As you will probably know , when the TV is clicking , that means that the protection circuit is on because a fault ad been detected.
If you already replaced the PSU and the control buttons, then grab a service manual and follow troubleshooting diagrams to test digital controller board (main board) and inverter board.
The manual can be ordered from Partstore or Vance Baldwin.

Vertical lines on tv
Possibly a bad HDMI cable connection. Remove cable,
then reconnect, with the plugs firmly in the jacks. If that doesn't
work, then borrow an HDMI cable from a friend and see if that
fixes the problem.

On and off switch not working
On the remote or on the TV? You can tell if a remote is working by pointing it towards a digital camera (like on your phone) and pressing a button. If you see the IR sender flashing then it's working.

The cables come loose in the ports and then I get
What type of cable? Component and composite video cables can be tightened up by lightly squeezing the outer metal ring with a pliers. I've acheived the same success with an hdmi cable but it is slightly trickier. Creating a slight indentation will increase the drag when you press it in and should help hold it in place. Otherwise, add velcro somewhere on the cord and on the tv to help hold the cable in position. Good Luck,

Lcd tv 32inch negative picture
negative picture is a fault with the screen driver it may not be connecting properly and a cleaning of the board may be all it needs. failing this it may need a new or replacement screen driver. the driver is located on the back of the screen. on top of the board there are clip connectors. take board off and with a ruff cloth clean the copper end to the screen, brush off the dust of the rest of the tv and boards and in the gaps in the screen controller board. then put back together and see if it has sorted it. if not it will need replacing.

Tv made a loud noise and does not work
Sounds like you blew a capacitor on your power supply board. Common problem that is addressed elsewhere on this site. I had the same problem on my Samsung LNT4672F, and replaced the blown or bulging capacitors with better ones. That was about 4 years ago. I now am having other issues with the TV, vertical multicolored bars across the screen, and am seeking resolution (pun intended).

Tcon board location
There are 2 hinged black retainers. Gently pry them up and the ribbons slide away from the board.

Sound with no picture
More than likely it is the T-CON board that went bad in your television set. Fairly easy to replace yourself you can buy online on ebay. Search T.V. model # followed by T-CON and one should be available. There are many youtube videos on how to replace step by step. GOODLUCK!
