i forgot my password on my sandisk u3 cruzer 4.0gb is there anyway i can access my file. The only option i have it seems is to reset my password and lose all my exiting saved files is there anyway around this please help thank you

This Nanda Kishore from India I am using SanDisk U3 SMART Cruzer Micro 2.0 GB Memory Stick with Serial No. BE0701O4B Model: SDCZ6-2048. Since yesterday morning i am getting an error message when i insert it into USB " USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED: One of the USB devices attached to this Computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it." I had tried in other Laptop & Desktop and reinstalled the system too but no use. The USB drive flashes once for 1 Sec and automatically it goes off. This could be two problems. 1. Using another USB device[anything] establish the USB port on the computer[s] are functioning or not. If not check the BIOS- Restart computer[s] press delete whilst booting -to get the bios screen up - cycle through to USB devices make sure they are ticked to enable. Having satisfied this problem. 2. Go to www.pcinsptector and down load and install the program[www.konvar.com] With the drive in a slot the recognises it try the recovery technique. As a final word allways back up vauluable data have in several version around the place , on external HDD or CD's Anything can fail at any time in this electronic world.

my SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive completely stopped working today. i always eject it in the "safe" way... by clicking EJECT..today it just STOPPED working for no reason... the PC doesnt detect it at all, the mouse doesnt show any activity when i insert it, and the LED on it doesnt light up.... any solutions ?
Had same problem.
I wiggled back and forth the part that goes into the USB port and the drive was recognized and I could copy my files onto my hard drive.
I had this problem with a different make USB flash drive and used the same procedure to get the files back.
I think that some connection inside the flash drive works loose after a while.
I am not going to trust these drives for files storage, but only to transfer files.

my pendrive was in problem, i cant format my u3sandisk pendrive.

2.Format F:/fs:Fat32 [ F should be change to flash drive name]
3.enter ....wait the results

when i plug in the usb drive to my computer (win vista)
it ask me to format the usb drive but when i try to format it..
the windows said cannot complete the format and thus i can't use my usb
i just bought it brand new during thxgiving '07 and i don't know what to do now!
If it cannot complete a format, you want to return it as a defective item, where you purchased it, for replacement.

I have a password protected Fujifilm 8gb USB Flashdrive without a write protect switch.
By mistake, I left it in my computer when I shut down and switched off and didn't notice it when I switched computer back on again and now when I insert it into any USB port on any computer and put in my password, I get a message telling me that the drive is Write Protected, please Unprotect the drive. I did not write protect the drive (it has no write protect switch) and do not know how to unprotect it. Please can anyone help with this ? I have important info on the drive that I need. Thanks

how do I delete photos from my flash drive
Hello, To delete photos from your flash drive, insert the flash drive into the USB port and open it. When you see the contents of the drive, select / highlight the photos you want to delete and hit delete on your keyboard. The selcted photos will then be deleted.
