Hi, have a cruzer titanium 8gb. Had it for over a

You have lost all the data as it is. Unfortunately, you may have pulled the cruzer from the usb port by hand without using the EJECT Format. You should always EJECT a USB Dongle first to avoid STATIC Charge. Static erases the formatted device and washes away all data. In the Winter this condition is more active than when humidity is high. In many cases, the drive can not be formatted again.

Free online virus removal

Do I understand well that you want to recover you Word documents? If so, after running an anti-virus (free AVG available for download on the net), and a Malware removal tool (also freely available in the net - I suggest MalwareBytes), copy you files to Notepad and them opening the MS-Word, import the text and reformat the document as originally. When you copy your documents to Notepad all of the internal code hosted inside the MS-Word file will be deleted and only the text will be spared. Unfortunately, you will loose all the formatting data.

Cannot get my USB memory stick to install on XP

I have a sandisk cruzer, titanium 512mb. Model: SDCZ3 512 I have used this to store massive amounts of data that I frequently need to access. Recently, when I plugged the device into my computer's USB, I received the following message: "USB Device Not Recognized" After double clicking on this message, I got the USB Root Hub. The last item on the tree stated: "Unknown Device." I double-clicked on the unknown device, and in the Device Status box, received the following message: "No Drivers installed for this device. If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter." I attempted to troubleshoot, but the device remains unrecognized. How can I access the data I have stored on this device? I have even tried to install the drivers automatically, but it would not istall succesfully.

USB drives can be write-protected by modifying the StoreageDevicePolicies Registry key and WriteProtect Registry value. click Start>run>regedit to open Registry Editor. and press control+F to open the find dialogue box and type "usb device" or "driverdesc" to open usb mass storage device or type "usb mass storage device" in the search windows. And right click on it and delete. This will set the policy value to 0. then insert your usb device. It will work fine. # Remember: do not delete any unknow files in the registry as this will make some programes not work as usual. also If you are running a Windows XP OS then you might be able to: - click start right click on my computer select open - Right click the icon of your Flash Drive (It should be F:/ or something) - Click Properties in the menu that comes up - Click the Sharing tab - Click permissions - And finally, click Allow next to Full Control. hope this helps
