Siemens SpeedStream Modem (4100) (SS4100) - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I cannt play wolrd of warcraft online but i go and check my and things like that
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Siemens/Speedstream-5450/World_of_Warcraft.htm should be close enough to get you started (they don't have pictures for the 4200). Check the link for the downloader too - you'll need those ports forwarded if you want to download upgrades. (And you probably can't get both the desktop and the laptop playing at the same time - a port can only be forwarded to one computer at a time.)

Problems logging onto the internet:
First I would open Internet Options in the Control Panel, click on the Connections tab, click LAN Settings and deselect everything that is checked. If you still can't go to a site, try Google Chrome or any other browser to see if they work.
It could also be that you have Limited Connectivity. Click Network and Internet Settings and see if check your status there.

Speedstream 4100 cant connect
plug the computer into the modem testing dhcp
if it gets internet the modem is the dhcp server
the plug into router by itself disconnected it from modem testing dhcp if gets ip address and no internet it's the dhcp server
dhcp can be done by the modem or router. I bridged mode the modem and let the router do dhcp. of course the router must be pppoe for dsl. been years since I had DSL, hope it helps

I can't get my Siemens SpeedStream 4100 to work
When you are connecting to it, are you using the lan connection straight into the device? When you do that is it showing as at least connected to the device on the computer? You did not post the operating system but can you check the router address by using the command prompt and using tracert commands to see what it is listed as? If you are using windows 10 have you use the powershell command to reset the winsock? Did you use the 30 30 30 reset method on the device?

You posted your password and username. Anybody can take the details and use your account. Ask Fixya to remove it for your own good. http://www.fixya.com/contact
To answer you, try putting in browser 10.1.1.1 see if you can get to the modem's menu.

I need a password
You may have to reset the modem. Hopefully you have all the details on hand for your broadband account available? That way once the details are in you can set the administrative password to whatever you wish. But write it down & put it somewhere safe. :)

Wat is my PPPoE user name and passeord?
Hi
It is the connection type of your internet service provider.
If your internet depends on user and password then it needs pppoe .
for that you need to configure router in pppoe mode but you can also create pppoe connection on your computer so just need to enter user and password of ppoe on computer then you can use internet on that computer.
Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Cannot locate modem access code
Hello anp1922,
I haven't used a Siemens SpeedStream Modem for some time now. My son replaced the modem we received from our internet provider when we first subscribed. We now use a NetGear Wireless Router. On the NetGear's, there's usually information that explains how to log in to the router such as a User Name and a Password.
Now on your Siemens SpeedStream Modem, it may not exactly be the same. I can't remember if the Siemens had the same setup and I'm sure you would have checked already by now. My guess is that you probably would need the software that came with the modem in the first place. A lot of times your internet provider, especially if it's DSL, will provide you with the router. I would call them and ask them for assistance. They can usually help you best. If you bought the IP Router yourself, then they won't help you and you're best to call the manufacturer. Hopefully Siemens doesn't ask you to pay for their service. You most likely will speak with someone in India who is in training.
I know I haven't completely answered your question but I am willing to help you out if you desire. GOOD LUCK.
