On the back of the TV you should have a Coaxe input. You take the antenna wire ether purchase a adaptor for it if it does not have Coaxe cable or just plug it in the back of the TV.

1. On that back of the TV you look for a plug in like this:
2. You take the antenna end that should look like this:

3. You plug it into the TV inlet pictured on step 1.

4. Take your remote and make sure you auto program your channel or auto search.

This is a basic instruction how to connect a antenna to your TV. You might need a converter if your antenna input is diffrent from what is pictured above.

Maybe The problem of your TV could be in the inverter board or the cold cathode light is busted.

Please Follow this instruction on how to fix that problem:

1. Remove the back cover of your TV.
2. Look for the Inverter board.

Inverter board looks like this:


3. Check the input voltage of the inverter board if have 24vdc.Using multimeter (range on DC)
4. If you have 24vdc,check the output voltage of the inverter board it should have 500vdc.
5. If you don't have 500vdc output on the inverter,replace it.
6. If the you have the output voltage on it,the problem could be the busted cold cathode light (C.C.T).Replace it.

Have you tried your old remote on his tv? If that works then it isn't the remote but the sensor on your television. Just an idea.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.

If you have technical capability you can remove the casing of the tv, and there should be a little black button on the main board, that is a reset switch. This hopefully should fix your problem. If not then their is something more serious which would require repair or replacement. If you still have any questions or need further assistance please let me know.

I have this tv too. I just bought a remote control with a 'learn' function, (from a pound shop), You use the Tv's remote and copy the button functions onto the new remote, It works great, actually better than origional remote, also functions other equiptment too, sky, freeview, dvd, etc. Try that instead.

That means there are no more updates for that TV. You might want to get a newer TV.

Go to home setting on remote. Go to audio settings on tv. Adjust sound from there down to suitable level.
