MY SAMSUNG ES25 CAMERA BATTERIES DISCHARGE AFTER 5 OR 6 PHOTOGRAPHS

The problem is the part where the flash unit (ES_TOP_PCB). It's a small plate on top. Failure of the "chip" (SMD FET 8 pin ZBOC4), which controls the high voltage capacitor charge (80mF / 310V) and circuit continuously draws current from 250 mA. The problem is in the feedback when a flash capacitor charge circuit should stop charging the capacitor. Chip is located next to the high-voltage capacitors. On this plate are two chips, one control, and the other driver and it was a mistake. Check and diode (R 8) before the capacitor. This failure was in one of the serviced cameras. Another possible defect in the display. The third failure was in transport lenses and there is a malfunction focus electric motor, but this can be heard as the motor constantly running back and forth. This fault and the fault display requires a change modules. Lots of luck ..... ERNESTO from Croatien

How to download pict from e990 coolpix camera

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Hello Jean. Turn the camera on and then, in the menu locate the reset. Resetting the camera will take all settings back to the factory settings that the camera had when it was new out of the box. This step alone may solve the problem. IF it does, great. IF not, the next step is to remove the battery, leave it out for two full minutes and then reinstall it. Joe

My E990 has a bad on/off

Being practical, it sounds like it is time for a new digital camera as the cost for repairing your 990 would not be worth it. I saw a used one going for $65 on AMAZON A repair would probably be double that cost.

Some amazing advances in digital photography have become available since your Coolpix 990 was introduced. I can't think of a better time to be looking for a digital camera with all the "Black Friday" deals about to be revealed. Since you are a Nikon user, may I suggest the Nikon D40. I do own this camera and it works very well, and won't break the bank too much Plus you can purchase extra lenses to make it a better camera when you can afford to.

I hope this helped and Good Luck!
