QOSMIO E15-AV101 PC Notebook: just installed windows 7 ultimate, clean install, ...

Okay in some case windows 7 does not pick up the network drivers so you will need to download and install the network drivers for your laptop from another computer and then copy those files to a pen drive and then connect it to your laptop and install it, however I do see that your laptop driver support page does not support other OS other than windows XP32. Please refer the link below and download both the drivers and install it, that is the driver for windows XP it should probably get installed and work for windows 7. http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=804518&osId=50

Welcome to Fixya

Here's the procedure:

1. Shutdown the laptop and remove the AC adapter. Disconnect any devices, such as a printer or external DVD-ROM or drive, that are attached to the laptop
2. Remove the laptop battery. Turn the laptop upside down, slide the battery release latch and then pull the battery out of the bay.

Just installed windows 7 ultimate,

Hello,

the problem is from your Ethernet controller, the drivers is not installed and that's why your computer cannot connect to the internet.

I am sure there are still some other components on your computer its drivers has not been installed.

Once you install any windows on your computer, you need to make sure you have the necessary driver, such as; Sound, VGA, Ethernet controller, etc.

To view and know the devices on your computer that needs drivers such as your Ethernet Controller, go to control panel, click system, look by the left of the window page and you will see device manager. Click the device manager and you will see the devices that their drivers need to be installed. The uninstalled devices will have a yellow exclamation mark in front them.

You can get the drivers from toshiba.com, look by the left side of the page and press U.S service & support, then under Customer support, press Laptop computers. Once the page opens, press Download, then select your laptop model and proceed for the download.

Make sure what ever you download is under win7 category.

Good luck.

I have Qosmio E15 and it wont boot

Go here: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT And download the drive fitness test, burn it to a .ISO bootable CD, and boot from the disc. Run a FULL SCAN and it will tell you if the HDD is bad, which is highly likely.

Wireless capability turned on

You just got wireless turned on ? Does this mean you just added a wireless router to your existing wired network ? You may need to turn off the DCHP server in the wireless Router and give it a unique ip address eg if wired router is 192.168.0.1 then make wireless router 192.168.0.2 with gateway ip set as 192.168.0.1 then make wired dhcp router not lease out 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.20 make subnet mask the same also for each router.
