Toshiba 62HM95 62" HDTV - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Light blinks wont start up
That means that the TV is in protection mode, because of an internal fault, start unplugging the power cord for one hour and see if this clear the error.
480i is displayed on the 62HM95 even when I play my Sony BluRay
I called toshiba (the television manufacturer) and they told me that the tv recognized the devices and then adjusts to the resolution according to the device of where its receiving the signal (HDMI).In this case my blu ray was not set to the 1080i resolution. Yesterday I set it up and BAM there it was.
Toshiba DLP fan noise (52hmx95)
there is no solution to the fan noise problem
this product has a huge cage fan and a second and third three inch fans in it.... more than the samsung product
it can be noticeable if the tv is on hard surfaces
ie wood floors ,inthe corner, glass top etc
the vents on the back of the tv allow for proper cooling of the lamp at shutoff so it doesnt shatter the tube
its kinda like annealing glass
its designed to extend the life of the lamp ....
which im sure youve priced
call toshiba and tell them your lamp is bad right now and get a new one for an emergency ( warranty if you can do it )
they are also improved
this product is known to have short bulb life
sometimes the zinging noise you hear is indicative of a bad color wheel in the light engine which would require replacement
( not cheap)
toshiba will not piece out the color wheel assembly individually
Re: replacing your 62HM95 light engine
the only reason you want to by the color wheel is cause you and I know that they are not broken, just a little touch up and they are fine. Why don't you helf this person instead of you making a profit.

Toshiba 62hm95 BUS line,. what is a BUS line and how do I fix it?
allmansfan your problem could be a cable that needs to be reseated if you take back off first unplug it there is a DVI cable with screws unscrew it pul the cable off and blow it out with some air reseat the cable put it back together and yo should be good to go
amjr2003 take the lamp out and look at it you will be able to tell if it is bad blown, discoloration, bulges in the globe etc. if not you may have a lamp door switch that need s to be aligned look at it there is a screw work the switch around where it lines up with the post
Toshiba 62hmx95
Sounds like you have a bad color wheel if they tell you it's not available but only with the engine you can get just the color wheel there are vendors just for hard to get parts
No pic...humming noice on 62'' toshiba dlp
was the lamp blown if it was blown you could be hearing the ballast
if the lamp was not blown and the new one did not fix it the red light indicates the door there is a little switch when you put the door back on if you look at it it may need to be adjusted so it will connect with the door if that is not it you could have a fan that is not turn if it is making a real loud constant humming noise while it trying to fire the lamp you probably have a bad color wheel
Toshiba 62MX195 faded flashing screen
There are some parts in any television set that can be DIY, In your case, I would suggest to read in the light engine replacement and see if that is something you can do.
Television Problem
I have just run into the same thing, prior to the picture not coming on there was a loud whining noise, I thought it was the fan in the back, but, what I tried was removing the lower back panel, LIGHTLY tapping the light wheel assembly just left of the Bulb housing, and using a shop vac to first, **** the assembly around the edges and then reversing the air and Blowing it out. After much dust and dirt flying around the TV came on. It now only makes a little noise now and then, but, I will try this again today and then put the back panel back on. Since it would probably cost as much as a new TV for the color wheel, I gave this a try. For now, it is working.

Toshiba 62 hm 95
The buzzing is most likely the fan. A low volume intermittent screeching (like when a small motor needs lubricant) is probably the light engine. It also may have a really wacky picture with the sound.
