The latest firmware release for that router is found HERE.Be very careful to follow the instructions; especially I suggest connecting direct cable to your router to insure there are no interruptions in transmission. Since I don't have a USR I can't tell you where the current firmware number is located. However, the usual places are directly on the router itself, perhaps on the bottom or rear. Also check the manual, although usually manufacturers don't use this because many times they supply manuals for several models and don't want dated material. It wouldn't hurt to send an e-mail to USR support, most of these companies are pretty good about responding. My suggestion is to flash your firmware only if you have a problem and no other choice.If your flash goes bad or is interrupted your router will be bricked.

Assign a fix IP address to your iPHONE (out of range of DHCP) and reboot your URS5461.

Dont need it. Its a security risk anyway. Try and do without it.

You can change password with below method.Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Try to get to the Hp ..and download and install the driver for the printer into the windows 7 ...cause this may be the cause for what it isnt seen by the pc ..specially if they are in network ...the others seen it cause they have the xp driver ..but for this one you have to load the w 7 driver..
Also try to make the settings again if this is the only pc connected to the router ..
or ..if the driver is installed ..get to start ..printer and faxes..and run the add new printer wizard ..and look for the printer by name in the network ..(after you install the driver..

If you ever lose your settings or if your settings are changed and the router is not functioning properly, you can come to this area to restore your saved settings from the backup file you created. 1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox)
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.

9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.

Typically, a good router will allow you to configure it only bvia a wired connection, to prevent unauthorized remote users trying to hack it.
Please try using a network cable (patch cord) to connect to the router's LAN socket directly and attempt reconfiguration then.

What do you mean by it won't work? What issue are you having and how long have you owned this unit? How long have you had this problem? Once I have more information I can assist you further.

1. this could be the network itself
Bandwidth overload or out of balance.
This is a server issue sometime with gaming servers.
2. It could be your system is too close to a cell phone or cordless phone or digital TV. Try moving the unit about 20 ft away and see it you get better signal strength.

I wonder if your router is set to perform MAC address filtering. If so, you have to either find the MAC address of the iPhone's wireless card and add it to your router's appropriate list, or set your router to not filter by MAC addresses.
