Check your computer to make sure it is actually sending out a signal. You can do this by hooking up another working monitor. If the other monitor works, there maybe a problem with the original monitor and it may need to be sent for service repair.

How to reset viewsonic vx2435wm
Usually ViewSonic products have a default memory as part of the OSD or menu system. Enter the menu by pressing the "1" button, then scroll down to find the default setting and execute it. If this doesn't resolve your issue, I recommend you call ViewSonic Customer Care for support.

Why has my viewsonic VE910b monitor image become faint?
If you have been using this monitor for some time, it's possible that the CCFL backlight is starting to wear out. That would mean it is time to buy a new units. Backlights are not a usual item that is serviced by replacement. Otherwise, there could be an issue with the backlight circuitry or there may even be a failure of the main board. Advise taking it in for service to get a more accurate diagnosis.

Why did my computer monitor stop showing an image?
Disconnect it from computer and power. wait 15 minutes and plug only the power back in, press the power on button. The monitor may display a message that there is no signal or something like that. If that happens the problem is either the cable or the computer. If you get no message then look for the menu button and press it to see if any thing appears. If not find the manual on line and read it. Many times monitors get over-driven by computers to the point that they can't display OR they self destruct.
OR
Another way is to just unplug everything computer and monitor for 15 minutes. Plug in monitor first then plug in computer and press the power button, the display should display the booting information if the cable is good and the monitor is good.

Speaker static
Separate wiring so there is no cross-talk of signals. If speakers fail, buy new set <$20.00 (walmart), and hook up, then you have great sound.

VS10945-1m powers on then off
Hi Walt,
You probably don't want to hear this but your monitor is old. If a monitor has lasted 5 years with reasonable use, then it has performed well. When I was researching your product I saw it was offered for sale in 2006.
When electronics start to have issues like this, it's a sign to buy a replacement.
