Maytag CWE4800A Electric Single Oven - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I have a Kenmore oven and all I had to do was remove the screw at each end of the handle (accessed with the door open) and the very front section just opened up - SIMPLE!! Wiped it down put the screws back in. Did it all by myself - just have your cleaning cloth in reach before you start. Can't believe I looked at those drips for years and it was that simple!!!

Are you sure that you have 220 volts to the oven. It is possible for a breaker to go bad and conduct power only on one leg and some things on the appliance will still work. Electronic controls on ovens can be damaged by power surges caused by lightening strikes. That could be the problem but after looking at the circuit diagram of the panel it doesn't look like there are electronics that should be damaged by a surge. Here is a link to the user manual. Just twist it off. I know that is easier said than done because they can be a pain. But if you turn it hard enough it will come off. I've seen suggestions about putting warm water on it to loosen it, an another said using an oil wrench on it worked like a charm. Good luck

Your pre-heat cycle seems to be stuck. It is to heat to that point and then hold the temp. Go to the maytag.com website. I have found them to be very helpful in locating and emailing info. They also have someone you can talk to. My Maytag appliances are registered with them, they can look up and follow all history of the appliance.

Hi you can order the thermostat and it is easy to replace, you will need the make , model and s/n to get the cocorrect part if you need to to fine the oven control just get back to me ,

Hi You have a bad touch pad , there maybe a be a button stuck in , try running your fingers over all the touch buttons but i think the touch pad will need to be replaced as always remove the power before taking it a part

the oven has had a high temp the temp sensor will need to be replaced , cost about $75 but if you look around you can find it for much less

unplug the oven then wait 5 mins and plug it back in this should reset settings

I dont know of any fuses in the oven or for the burners what is the problem ?

what can i say Maytags have many key pad problems, it is very easy to replace you will need the make , model, s/n to order the key pad board, and the board also has a number on it , The dishwashers are rally bad for keypads

sounds like you have a bad controller, most overs and broilers all use the same knob to adjust them how old is this unit ?

Hi unplug the stove and remove the two screws that hold the top down, holding the burners, check for burned wires going to and from all burners I think you may have wires that are shorted out , or the element itself is burn out , you can check this with a ome meter, by putting each wire on the ends of the element , I hope you know how to use a meter if not write back and I will walk you though it , Just look around very carful
