Connecting wiring into oven

The house wiring was not up to code so the white wire was not supposed to connect to the white terminal on the stove. Instead the white wire connected to the red, the black to the black and bare ground wire connected to the white terminal thus providing ground and two termianls with 110 each.

Maytag Model MTB2154ARW-water is appearing inside

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...If you need any further assistance please feel free to comment again. good luck! P.s Please don't forget to rate my solution thanks! Mike.

Keypad/clock went blank

Normally when a power surge lands a direct hit on a non protected circuit board, it will usually fry it completely. you can confirm this by shutting down the power for 5 minutes. if the control doesn't respond after the 5 minutes of no power, this will confirm circuit failure due to the surge and, you will need to replace the board in this case.

Maytag double oven-top cleans itself-bottom reads unavaiable?

Either BOTH cannot clean at the same time b/c they heat to 700deg and use alot of power, OR the 'Door secure' signal from the bottom oven is not getting to the controller. I suspect if that is the case, the switch is on the inside of the door, activated by the LOCK lever moving into locked position. It may be a beny switchlever, mis-adjusted LOCK lever or solenoid or disconnected wire.

If you leave the TOP open and force a clean, does the bottom lock and do nothing? (My other theory)

Top oven appears to have no power going to it.

Contact an electrician and or the power company.
I believe you have lost the neutral/ground in your power service.

Heating

i would first check the lower units bake element , usually a visually inspection is enough to determine if its good or nor, usually a burn mark can be seen on the element itself, and if you can even see the element the bottom f the oven cavity will lift off for better inspection

My 2008 Maytag double oven the lower door is locked, no messages on display and the manual says to push 'CANCEL abd Cook & Hold' button but does not unlock the door

f your 2008 Maytag double oven's lower door is locked, here are some steps you can try to unlock it: Press Cancel/Off Key: Start by pressing the Cancel/Off key. Wait for 20-30 seconds, then try to open the door. Sometimes this simple latch reset can do the trick. Power Cycle: Turn off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute. After that, turn the power back on. Allow the oven to cool for approximately 30-90 minutes, and then move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door. Self-Clean Cycle Interruption: If the door locked during a self-clean cycle, select the "Self Clean" option, and then choose "Cancel". Wait a couple of minutes, and then try to start the cycle again. If the self-clean cycle was started by mistake, press the Cancel/Off key. The oven will need to cool to around 200°F (95°C) before the door can open. Remember to ensure that the oven is cool and the power is turned off before attempting any of these steps. Hopefully, one of these methods will help you unlock the oven door! How do I replace a Maytag wall oven's upper hinge?

There are two types and they both work to a theme. Modern Oven hinges are inset into the door itself, so you just split the door apart, take the old ones out and the new ones in. The other type have the hinges inside the oven itself between the outside of the oven cavity and the outer panel. With those you pull out or remove the wall oven and look at the back and underneath for the screws. Remove the side panels, remove and replace the hinges. Door Mounted Hinge Side Mounted hinge
