I just replaced the alternator on my vehicle and now the cd wont turn on everything esle in the car works fine

Check all of the fuses in your vehicle. There are probably two fuse boxes in the car. One in the engine compartment and another inside of the car either under the dash or in a kick panel. If you can check the wire harness behind the deck. There may also be a fuse in the back of the deck.

Did you make sure you have no shorted or grounded speakers or speaker wires? Make sure you don't have a bad speaker also. If everything checks out, you may have a bad internal output ic.

How to set the clock

Press the Title button (to the right of the display) until the time is displayed. Press and hold the Title button until the time starts to blink (2+ seconds). Then turn the rotary encoder (the center circle of the set of buttons and controls on the left of the display) to set the current hour. Press the Mode button (below the rotary encoder). Then turn the rotary encoder to set the current minute. Press Title to exit the Time Set mode (or the unit will exit the mode if no buttons or controls are moved for 5 seconds). Alpine USA has the Owner's Manual for the CDA-9856 here: vault.alpine-usa.com/products/documents/OM%20CDA-9856.PDF . See page 7 (page 9 of the PDF) of the manual.I hope this helps. Cindy Wells
