How do i reformat my

The simply steps to reformat your mp3 player:
  • If you haven’t figured out how to hook it up to your computer, then simply take the USB cord that was given to you and plug it into your computer and then the other end to your mp3 player.
  • Wait for the plug and play to take place; you’ll notice the “open folder” window pop up. Close this window
  • Go to your “My Computer” and you will notice an extra hard drive that will state drive F: G: or something in those letters and it will also say USB next to it.
  • Right click with your mouse on that hard drive icon. You will receive a list of options. Click on the format option with a left mouse click.
  • Next the reformat window will appear. Select the scroll down of the capacity to the maximum option available.
  • Next is the file system, you check what you’re Windows is running by go to “My computer” and clicking on your C: drive once. At the side panel or the bottom, depending on which Windows you are running, it will display if you have a FAT, FAT32 or NTFS.
  • Select whichever file system you are running.
  • In the allocation unit size, I leave this to its default status.
  • Next, you want to check the check box that says “Quick Format” and click start. Once it has been completed you can close the window and you’re mp3 player will be cleaned and reformatted

A Pop-Up always says me

Do you keep inserting the Mp3 into a different USB port? Try using the back panel USB ports instead of the ones in the front of your case, and always use the same.

Ok so I have a coby mp3 player and the songs are

Ok there are 2 Solutions that can fix this:

First:

1. Plug the MP3 player into the USB port. Open Windows Media Player, which will recognize that the device is plugged in and register under the "Sync" tab at the top.
2. Click on the "Sync" tab and and the library that is on your MP3 player will be displayed.
3. You can select individual songs or albums for deletion. Simply right click on the song or album to be deleted and scroll down to the "Delete" option.
4. After selecting "Delete," another window will come up which says "Are you sure you want to delete [title of song]?" There are two options at this point--you can delete from the library only or from the library and your computer. Select the one or the other and click
"OK." The song will be deleted. The change will be displayed within the library onscreen.
5. When you unplug the player from the port, the library will adjust the files to reflect the change. The player will say "configuring library" or some other message to that effect. Once this has finished, the main screen will be displayed. Depending on the model of the MP3 player, there may be a message stating "library updated."

Or if that does not work try this:

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Coby's website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

There are many problems with these Coby units. I do not recommend this brand.
