Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Digital Camera - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Very slow in taking a picture
Cathy,
I'm not sure I already asked you something, but it looks to me, you are new with digital camera's. The digital cameras all have a feature called auto focus. DSLRs and some expensive system cameras do have an extra sensor to autofocus, while you are pressing the shutter release button. they sometimes can focus in a few hundreds of a second. Most other cameras use the same sensor as the one the picture is captured on.they look for contras differences and some other things. When you press the button half, the camera starts focusing the picture. That can take a few tenths of a second, but when the light is bad, or the subject you try to focus on has bad contrast conditions, it can take up to one second or more. when the camera is focused it will show a green light of give a beep. Then you can press the shutter complete. Still the camera has to switch from focus yo capture. Also a tenth of a second or more.
I understand it is annoying when you are used to cameras with a film, because when you pressed the button, the picture was shot. If you want that again with a digital camera, you almost are convicted to a DSLR. Even the cheaper ones shoot that quick. But they are bulkier, heavy and quick.
Card is protected
If you did not use the card before in your camera, please try to format the card in the camera. But the SD or SDHC card that goes into your camera, has a little switch, on the left side of the card, that should be set to the top of the card. Top is where the gold con acts are (back side when the switch is on the left)

Are you sure you are using fully loaded battery's, because most camera's will automaticly shut down, when the battery voltage drops under a certain voltage. Sure your battery is still in tip top condition?Don't use NiCD batteries, only alkaline and Ni-MH rechargable batteries should be used.Page 15 of the manual shows how you can find out if you are using correct (with enough charge) batteries.
I have a fujifilm finepix z35 camera and i need to
Like most point&shoot cameras the Z35 doesn't give you much direct control over "minor" things like aperture and shutter speed. It's designed for you to simply point and shoot. You have some control however, by selecting a scene mode. Portrait mode, for example, will attempt to open up the aperture to minimize depth of field, which tends to result in a faster shutter speed. Landscape mode, on the other hand, will attempt to close down the aperture to maximize depth of field, resulting in a slower shutter speed.
I cannot see my picture or upload it. The screen says "read error"
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card,
then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory
card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB
port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass
Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on
the memory card and copy the photos to your computer.
Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You
can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your
memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any
programs.
