VW Beetle CD Player Stopped Working
Just had the same problem. It would say Track 63, and nothing would work. We have a 2001 Beetle, and on a road trip, it stopped working while we were driving and listening to CDs.
From another post, someone suggested removing the negative cable from the battery post. Tried this and it still did not help. However, I noticed that the cable would not tighten as I would expect. All cables are very clean, but I needed to push the cable further down before tightening. Ended up lightly tapping it down on the post with a small hammer, then tightening. Well, after that, all worked. Also noticed that the beep when locking the car was louder.
Hope this helps.

02 Jetta Player rejects CD
is the problem that it will not play them, or is it that it sticks them back out, if it will not play them, then dust might have gotten onto the lense of the laser in the reader, so you will have to take the cd player out, open it and clean the laser's lense, if it sticks them back out, then there is probably dust in the crack between the eject button and the dash, or water in it, compleating the circut (if you have had the car outside on a day when there was over 70 degreese for an houyr, then there is almost definitely no water, you might want to try heating up the button with a hair dryer, to evaporate any water that might have gotten stuck in there, anyways then take a thin piece of metal and use it to poke the area around the button, then use a vaccum cleaner to clear out any dust.
CD Player shuts off when faceplate is up
check the pin connectors make sure there not bent and that the line up right if that dont work try lightly bending them or cleaning them if that dont work sometimes theres a little peice of plastic that triggers the radio on look on face plate or head unit to see if maybe something broke off if it did try to find peice of plastic that size and super glue it on good luck..
