Ilo DVDR 05
http://www.retrevo.com/support/CyberHome-DVR-1600MU-DVD-Players-manual/id/534ci862/t/2/e Someone said these were similar. Try the red/yellow/white cables. select that SOURCE. first select your recording length. I usually put mine on 3-4 hours and try to keep it from running to the end or you have problems. I use Rewriteable dvds, if you use reg discs be sure to finalize the disc so it will work in other players. I read if you are copying macrovision vhs to use the antenna input and it will copy it with that input. Just tune it to channel 4 or whatever. Forget trying to set the timer to record from tv. I never have success with that.
Video but no audio r/o cables
Not sure of your problem. You get video but no audio thru any of your inputs? Or is it just your tuner? Or your tv?

Missing items
I have a DVDR05 manuel (operations guide) and remote that works if you are interested contact me at
[email protected] or call me 9796656614. My unit went bad and i already bought a new unit.
Won't eject
Had same problem as you, never will I "hit" a machine but read a post to do so. I tapped on top as I hit eject and it worked. Something about a magnetic effect as the thing ages and a solution to use electric tape. I will just tap, only as nessesary. My computer did the same (can't tap) I tried to always have a disc in drive which made it eject easier. Hope it works.
Code
Have been looking for a spare universal remote for 2 years. None have worked even ones Guaranteed to work on all brands. Have you tried a Learning remote contol? I'm tempted to try, they might work but cost more then what I gave for my ILO at the pawn shop.

Dvd wont reconize dvd +
Have you tried the rewriteables, they don't require to be finalized at all. ILO's are real picky, I returned two to Walmart before discovering to use ONLY SONY + or the rewriteables(brand doesn't seem to matter on the rewritables, don't know why.
Recording problem
I have had two of these recorders, Using only Sony + discs or rewriteables is my solution, I will not use any thing else. It may work 1-3 times on others brands then start throwing coasters.
As to renaming, on my model I pull up the tiltle menu then select Try using rewriteables for the other problem as well My model is a little older and lets me take disc out without finalizing then when inserting select title, hit edit on remote and select rename. Maybe if you can skip the finalizing (as with rewritables it will help
ILO Recorder DVD05R - Playback jumps 10min, 20 min and more...
Does the disc still play in other dvd player? My ILO has always been picky to play rentals so I just have a cheap COBY player hooked up to front inputs of my ILO. I use it to watch the dvds, only use the Ilo to record. Saves wear and tear on my ILO but cannot find a universal remote to operate them both and my tv. If it still records okay thats what I would do, just watch the discs in a secondary unit. Sounds like time to start shopping for new recorder.
Replace my dvdr05
Depends on your specific problems. I have had one of each models MU1, MU2 and ZU. Each one is different. See label on bottom. The best one is MU1 MU2 seemed to get a blur or moving effect upon playback. Zu is better for taping live tv. I love my MU1.I had a Lite on DVD recorder that didn't last long at all. I use ONlY SONY discs or Rewriteables and do fairly well. I am trying to find a non existent universal remote for it. Why didnt' they put more buttons on the front??? Useless without a remote. If its broke, its broken. I heard the company is no longer operating so forget it.
Can't record from tv or disc,
shouldn't need one, If you can't get the tuner source of your ilo to record, try using A/V cables (output) from tv to (Inputs) on ilo. set tv on channel you want to watch and it should come through to the ilo (selecting the correct source input of course) If your tv is really old and doesn't have A/V then you will need RF Modulator. This way of hooking tv up will also work with recording DIGITAL signal from a Digital converter box type tuner (the tuner in Ilo soon to be no longer operatable).
No disk.....

Dvd recorder
Following the instructions on hooking up the cables gave me fits. I finally just put the instructions away and winged it. Got it that way. Bypass your Ilo tuner. Hook the Comcast Cable (outs) up to the A/V input 1 of your ILO. Hook your tv combo A/V outputs, to the ILO A/V inputs. Select the Source and choose the cable source for cable and the combo source to tape from your VHS/dvd combo. Its a pain but you have to select Source everytime you turn the Ilo back on. You could hook your Cable to the ILO but would have to turn on ILO everytime to watch tv. Two remotes is a chore but you have to use tv remote for the volume anyway so it doesn't matter. Hope this helps.
Won't come back on
Let me give you my solution, I took it to my tv repairnan and he fixted it for $30 and works great.
