most likley your airco needs servicing.there is a condensate drain off on the outside where the copper piping comes out the wall,if after the 5 to 10 mins no water comes out through there it could mean that the drainline is choked..also u can check to see if your evaporator is graded properly to ensure a proper drain out of the condensate:-)

look on the unit it will tell you the amount of refrigerant it takes

It is the amount of refrigerant they put in it at the factory. You can find it on the name plate for the unit.

need to see blue prints, also square footage will play a big role as to size you need in each area, and where you want to place them so copper an drain lines will be able to run, and where you want outsid units.

Do you have the correct voltage going to the unit.
Thermostat sensing bulb should be up against the cooling coil.

Possible bad start capacitor on the compressor,or low on freon.
Start capacitor will cause heat and overload if its bad.
Low freon will also make unit shutdown after a couple minites.

Some ideas to look at.

Please make sure that the correct mode setting has been selected. Depending on model you will see the mode button has four little icons. A star/crystal, a teardrop, a sun (circle with lines out going) and a sort of triangle. You press this button until the correct icon appears on the display, it should be the sun icon.

If you are referring to the indoor section on a split system, then turn off the a/c at the thermastat. Turn on only the indoor fan and let it run untill it can defrost itself. Then locate the leak in the refrigerant piping, repair and recharge the system.

This dirt or fluff is coming out of the blower area of the furnace. If you have a filter in the proper area then the debris you are describing may be from the insulation around the fan where it is located in the furnace. If these bits of debris has the apperance of black fluff then that is whats going on the insulation aroung the fan inside has come loose and is being picked up by the fan blowing it into your house. The way to repair this is to access the fan area of the furnace and remove the loose insulation. Remember to disconnect power to the furnace to ensure system does not turn on while you are removing the debris. Also remember that there will still be some debris coming out of the system for a while once you have corrected the problem due to the debris being in your duct work from the previous problem however it will slowly disapate.

You need to ensure that the LCD displays a sun symbol. If this is not the case this can be corrected by using the button which has triangle, snowflake, sun and raindrop symbol, press until sun is on screen. Then set temperature.

Dirty coils,bad fan motor or low on refrigerant(freon).

If it is not freezing up freon is ok. Make sure compressor is running.If humidity in house is high It will not feel as cold as it should until air drys out some. Do not try to run just after house heats up as it may never catch up. LEAVE ON a set stat to cycle. Window units have no customer acess fittings and would need to be installed. Then you need gauges to read pressures. this is not auto refrigerant. 90% of the time the outside coil is dirty and needs washed out. fan blows back through coil so build up is on fan side you can't see. You may be able wash with hose from side you can see with a 30 degree down angle going from top to bottom side to side. careful to not bend fins Also do not spray water into fan motor. Also some times coil is too dirty to clean without taking apart.

bad remote control may something got spilled on it they do not like to get wet. Tom try google manufacture to get new is their power to the unit tripped breaker.Tom

Most probably if the remote works on the other units then the receiver on your problem unit is busted. You have to call an authorized service repair shopr to replace the board.

call a lg tech to come and have a look.its ment things that can cause that fault.

On mine, it's the symbol on the right-most one of 4; looks like a sun-symbol with several single lines emanating outward from the circle.

do you have any CFL's in the room try turning these lights off as I have seen these effect some remote control systems
