Creaking noise after refrigerator door is closed

only thing I can thing of is the slight vacuum caused by the quick temperature change when the warm air that enters when the door is open is trapped after closing the door. As it cools it shrinks and creates a mild vacuum which should dissipate after a few seconds. The creaking is probably the sound of the pressure regulating between the fridge and the room. Might indicate a problem with one of your seals but more than likely is not a concern.

Refrigerator Lights Stayed on, Melted Plastic and Stopped Cooling

The control board relay switch for the light bulb stuck in the on position and needs to be replaced along with the light cover and housing.  There is also a replacement light harness that has a high limit switch to shut off the lights if this happens again.  LG knows about this problem and if you call LG customer service, they will grant a one time warranty extension to take care of this problem.

Had lost power to home

For you first problem: unit is beeping every 30sec withdoors closed - it seems like the sensor goes bad. This alarm beeps when thesensor find the door is open. That means the sensor is not working properly. In thatcase you need to replace the door sensor. For your second and third problem - First, besure to check your refrigerator's door to make sure it is closing properly. Youcan check the seal around the door, calleda gasket, to make sure it's not warped and does not have any cracksor tears. If it does, you might need to replace thegasket. If you are not sure your gasketit causing the problem, an articlefrom HowStuffWorks.com, offers this simple test:"Test the door gasket for leaks by placing a dollar bill between the gasket andthe door jamb and closing the door. Pull the bill out. If it offers someresistance, chances are the gasket fits properly. If the bill comes right out,or falls out, the gasket is faulty and should be replaced." If your refrigerator's door is sagging, tighten the hinges. In some cases, it may be necessary to replace thedoor hinges on your refrigerator. The temperature control setting you see when you open yourrefrigerator is really just a thermostat that detects the temperature of theair inside the refrigerator and regulates it by turning the compressor eitheron or off. Check to make sure the condenser fan is running and is notblocked or stuck-up by dirt and dust build-up. The condenser fan is locatednext to the compressor in most models. Check the vents in your refrigerator to see if they arepartial blocked by frost build, food spills or by food items themselves. Thesevents supply the flow of frigid air your refrigerator needs. Wipe down thevents with a warm, damp, soapy sponge to clear away any blockages. Rearrangeitems in your fridge and freezer to make sure the vents are not being blocked. Finally, check yourrefrigerator's thermostat to see if it's set and working properly.Test the thermostat with an ohm meter to make sure the part is not faulty. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

Simple question - LG refrigerator

Hi

This feature sounds a buzzer when the freezer or refrigerator door is not closed within 1 minute after it is opened. One minute after the door is opened, the buzzer sounds three times each for 1/2 seconds. These tones repeat every 30 seconds. The alarm is cancelled when the freezer or the refrigerator is closed while the buzzer sounds. For your refrigerator either the buzzer circuit is faulty or door switch has gone bad. Try and check the wiring to the door switch, if wiring seems to be fine then disconnect the wires between P14 (PPG) & P66 (AIN6) on IC1 (MICOM). This will stop the alarm from buzzing.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

The interior lights remain on after the doors are

I have a fridge that does the same thing. I go the no light route personally. With my refrigerator, it is a poor design and the part of the door that is supposed to make contact with the switch is way off. There is no way to fix my situation. You may be in the same boat, or it may be a faulty switch. Open the door and see if you can locate the light switch with the bulb in. see if you can press the button with your finger and see if the light goes off. If it works then trace back to the part of the door that is supposed to make contact with this switch. See if it is even getting close to touching the switch. There may be some adjustments you can make, or maybe there isn't.
