How can I connect my CD-RW880 recorder to the

Make sure the phonograph is connected to the Phono Connectors. Hook up your CD recorder to the tape. The play connectors on the CD recorders can connect to the tape play connectors on your stereo. The record connectors on your CD recorder connect to the record outputs on the tape connectors on your stereo. You can also connect you CD recorder to the VCR connectors if you are using an audio tape as your source. All of the outputs and inputs are the same level except the phono.

Need to order blank Cds

You have to buy 700Mb CD-R. One of the best brand would be Sony or TDK. You can buy by clicking on the link below. http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Recordable-Recorders-Computer-Assorted/dp/B003429IWC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1314027313&sr=8-3

CD-RW880 records only 10-15 minutes then stops

Hi i would say try other cd recordable media but it sounds like your player has a tracking/laser pick-up problem or a laser mechanism fault,i would suggest you take it to the nearest repair agent to get them to look at it for you. regards. paul.

DIN UNLOCK on the display

The CD isn't reading the disk, so it reports "blank disk". It could be as simple as the CD laser lens having dust or lint on it, in which case you can use a CD cleaner disk (available at Walmart or Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc.). If that doesn't help, the second most common problem is that the laser lens is out of adjustment, and not focusing properly, thus not reading the CD. This can happen with slight wearing of mechanical parts, or any change in the detection circuity (aging of capacitors, etc.) This can be corrected, but it entails taking the unit apart and adjusting the CD lens on a trial and error basis (adjusting, then trying, until you get it right). Here's a web blog on the procedure, and it will clue you in on what you can try. If you don't feel like tackling it yourself, of course, you will have to have the unit serviced. Get an estimate first, since it's also possible that they will just replace parts, or possibly a circuit board, in the event that adjustment of the lens doesn't solve the problem. Here's the blog:

I.m having a problem with hum and interference

Instead of flailing, let's narrow it down to a specific signal path. Can you describe hum and intererence? Make sure no analog cabling is routed near power cords or strong magnetic fields.

Describe the conditions when it happens - Analog Record? Analog Playback? Digital Record or Playback?

What other equipment is involved? Do you have track lights?

Some recorders, especially Phillips REQUIRE using the "Music" CD's. It was a lame attempt at copyrright enforcement.

Question

I am 99% certain that it will only work with 'audio' discs. This is the case with my Philips CDR-796 and as far as I am aware applies to all consumer CD recorders.

Hope this helps

My Computer isn't reading a Phillips CD-R

Did you "finalize" the CD-R on your Phillips CD-R audio recorder? You must finalize it for it to find the Table Of Contents. Can you read it in your Phillips recorder? Try to finalize it again. I also have heat issues with the Phillips recorder, and I added a small computer fan to it to prevent lockups. Best wishes,

My unit will not record cd-rw audio discs.

cd-rw is an unprotected format.. I doubt it WILL copy..

the cd-r is seen as a normal cd now.. the "ReWritable" isn't meant for "pirating" ;)
