Can't create partition

Purchase or download a partition manager program. The only way you can easily manage or change your partition is to get a third-party program. Partition Magic Freeware is the most widely known partition manager software. http://www.filehoo.com/download/Partition-Magic-8,0.aspx You can also download freeware programs such as Cute Partition Manager. http://download.cnet.com/cute-partition-manager/3000-2094_4-10605516.html Open or run the partition manager. In Partition Magic you can open the program easily. In Cute Partition Manager you may have to create a boot disk and boot from it to run the program. Once the program is open, select the drive you want to manage. Go to the menu and choose an action or right-click and choose "re." There will be an action -menu that will let you choose something like "re" or "change hard drive ." Some programs will also let you right-click on the graphical expression of a drive and choose the action or drag the graph to change the . Pick a new for the drive and decide what you want to do with the remaining space. The rest of the space should be partitioned or formatted to make use of it if the current partition is downd. Apply the changes by clicking "apply" or "OK." You will then have to reboot the computer for the changes to take effect. The program may automatically do this for you or it simply may direct you to do it. With the new ReadyBoost feature of Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems, as well as with various server operating systems, you can create a partition on many external drives to use for a virtual memory swap file location, speeding up the computer for many memory-intensive tasks or for systems that are short on RAM. Back up any data currently located on the drive prior to creating, deleting or changing partition or otherwise attempting to configure the USB drive. Open "Computer Management" under the "Administrative Tools" section of the Control Panel. Click on "Disk Management" to display a list of drives and their current partitions. Right-click on the drive and choose "Extend Volume" to make the partition larger using available space on the drive; "Shrink Volume" to reduce the of the partition, freeing up space on the drive; or "Delete Partition" to remove all partition information and to create fresh partitions on the drive. Right-click on the free space on the drive and choose "New Simple Volume" if the existing partition has been deleted. Click "Next" and then enter the desired of the first volume on this disk. Choose to assign a drive letter, assign the partition to its own folder on an NTFS volume or not to assign a letter or assign the partition to a folder if the drive is going to be used on a different system. Click "Next" to display the format dialog screen and choose to format the drive using the default settings. Give the volume a name and click "Next" again to review all of the chosen settings. Then click on "Finish" to begin the format process. Repeat the partition creation steps for as many new partitions as are desired on the drive.

Pls. help me ..about my usb (kingston 2GB)..i can't format it and copy some datas!!!..it says that the drive is write protected..and i don't know how to fix it!!..please help me!!

If it says the drive is write protected it means either it was formatted this way ..and for to see if it is so click right on it ..and choose properties and in there take a look not to be ticked on write protected ..or if it is selected read only ..remove the mark and click apply ..If this is not a case..check the files inside not to have such a issue ..delete files one by one ..and check the ones that do not want to remove themselves..and do just like I suggested .In the last resort ..try to download and install remove on boot program ...and select tye files into the program ..and delete them on boot if they are write protected..The action itself is to click right on the file that can not be deleted...and select to remove at next boot ..(the program will add this option on the menu ) and once selected all ..just restart the computer ..here is the link for the program ..but lets hope it will not be needed.. After all files are removed..open the flash drive folder and under organize,,folder and search options ..click on view and select to see hidden folders ..and if there are any delete them too ..just to be sure ..Last ..just click right on the drive's icon ..and select format ..select the options for to do that and go for it ..here is the program I mentioned..http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Boot-Manager-Disk/MoveOnBoot.shtml
