How to reset Paradyne (1740A1400) Router ?
Hi Samsungvt!
You will have to access the Web Interface of the Paradyne Router to reset it to Factory Defaults.
First, connect your PC to the Paradyne Router. Check your IP address is in the range 192.168.1.xx (xx = any number from 1-254). Open your web browser, type 192.168.1.1 then press enter. Enter the default username and password (shown below) to access the router's web interface. On the left pane, click Erase and Reboot; this will reset the router to factory default.
Default IP address is 192.168.1.1
Default Username and Password: root

On the back of ur modem there is a reset button which might look like a hole you may have to use a pin to press that button
press that button for 3-5 sec and then release it all the light on your modem will flash.
now ur modem must be restore to its factory settings

When connect main power paradyne ups offline fuse burnout.
Not exactly sure what you are saying.
When you turn on your UPS it blows the main fuse? Obviously you have a short. If you just changed the batteries I would go back and check that you have the positive and negative cables are connected correctly and there is nothing pinching the cables or touching the terminals.
If you didn't recently change the batteries and this might be a result of lightening, I would change the fuse and see what happens. If it continues to blow, toss it and get a new one. Could be the circuit board is bad but most likely the transformer is shorted. Unless you are a trained electronics technician you should not go any farther.

I have a paradyne 621x
Is this a DSL modem? and if you need drivers then are you trying to install this thru USB connection only?
