Why are my top rack dishes not clean at all?

It is likely that sufficient water is not coming from the top arm. These dishwashers oscillate the water flow between top and bottoms sprays alternatively. This ensures water is pumped with adequate force. It is possible this mechanism is not working correctly. The device called check ball item 58 in this diagram actually does this function. The ball might be out of shape or not sitting properly causing incorrect wash water movement. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Frigidaire-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-FDB1050REC0/1428/0130000/R0505129/00004?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

Error code eo

Hello Gary, I am happy to assist you! I see that your Frigidaire dishwasher is displaying error code EO; however, is it possible that the code is missing a number or character(s)? Typically error code "E0" is follow by another number. In the meantime, you can reset your dishwasher. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your appliance. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please advise me of the new error code or if it continues to display "EO"? With this information I can better address the issue at hand. Thank you! - Z

Frigidaire d. w. grit and white film on glasses

Good Morning Friend, I see that you are receiving grit and a white film on your glasses, in your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB1050REC. Here are some common solutions that you can begin with. -Check your water hardness. Hard water can cause lime deposit buildup on the interior of the dishwasher. Dishes and glasses may also get spots and film for a number of reasons. To remove buildup, spots and film, clean using the following instructions: 1. Load clean dishes and glasses in a normal manner. Do not load any metal utensils or silverware. 2. Do not add detergent. 3. Select the NORMAL WASH cycle. Close and latch door. Press START/CANCEL pad. 4. Allow your dishwasher to run until it starts the second water fill (approximately 10 minutes). 5. Unlatch and open the door, and pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the bottom of dishwasher. 6. Close and latch the door and allow the cycle to finish. For extremely hard water, it may be necessary to install a water softener. -Your water temperature may be low. Avoid extremely low or high temperatures. -Avoid overloading and improper loading. -Make sure you are using fresh detergent. Old detergent is ineffective. -Make sure your rinse aid dispenser is filled. -Check to see that the proper amount of detergent is being used for cycle selected. -Your home water pressure may be too low-it should be 20 to 120 pounds per square inch (psi). If none of these suggestions helps, I would suggest contacting either the manufacturer or a local authorized technician. Hope this helps. -Best Regards- WP

Cleaning the filter on frigidaire ultraquiet dishwasher

Hello Friend, I see that you are wondering how to clean the filter on your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB1050REC. The inside of your dishwasher is self-cleaning with normal use. If needed, clean around the tub gasket area with a damp cloth. The filter is self-cleaning. A glass trap located in the center of the filter is designed to collect pieces of broken glass, straws, bones, and pits. To remove this glass trap, grasp the handle, lift out, empty it and replace it. Hope this helps. -Best Regards- WP

Frigidair 1000 series dishwasher clean light staying on and not able to operate until I turn circuit breaker off and on.

Good Morning Edward, I see that you are having trouble with running your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB1050REC, due to the "Clean" light being stuck on. I also see that regardless of you trying to reset the appliance, it might run through one cycle and then you're back to showing the "clean" light, and not being able to clear that light. It sounds to me like your control panel is having issues and might need to be replaced. I do suggest contacting a local authorized technician to diagnose the appliance, this way you're not just purchasing random parts. -Best Regards- WP

Frigidare dishwasher wont drain, can hear pump motor start

Hi Mark, this is AP and I'm happy to assist you! I understand you are having trouble with your dishwasher not draining and making odd noises. I would suggest checking the drain hose to ensure it has not become twisted or kinked. Even if the hose is not kinked make sure it has not fallen behind the dishwasher either as this can prevent draining. Additionally, you could check the filter at the bottom of the tub to make sure no debris has clogged the filter or disposal. Other than that the drain pump could be the culprit. If so, I would recommend a local authorized technician to come out and properly diagnose the dishwasher. I hope this information helps.

Dishwasher has power but wont start its cycles

Hi Scott, this is JK. Thank you for your post. I see that you are experiencing some concerns with your dishwasher not starting cycles. The issue may lie with the door latch; a door switch is used to start and stop your dishwasher. It's a safety feature that won't allow water to flow with the door open. With a faulty door switch, there is a chance your dishwasher won't start at all. Dishwasher door switches are about an inch long. The latches are usually black but can be red. There are metal prongs on the body of the switch called terminals. Some door switches have two terminals and some have three. If your door switch is OK, check the timer assembly. This controls when and how long power is sent to other controls on your dishwasher. If these controls don't receive power, they won't work. The timer assembly contains a motor. Check this motor as well. It is often cheaper just to replace the timer motor rather than the complete assembly. My last suggestion is to check the cycle selector switches. These switches indicate cycles for washing, drying, and setting the temperature of the water. If one of your switches is the problem your dishwasher may not start. Dishwasher cycle selector switches tell the timer which cycle to run by opening and closing electrical circuits. Most selector switches are six to eight inches long. They are usually black and have terminals. By testing each one of these parts with an ohmmeter you should be able to determine why your dishwasher is not working. It is possible for other parts to fail but these are the most common parts to check. If all of these suggestions pan out and the problem still persist, think about what may have happened prior to this occurrence. For instance, did you notice any error codes, odors, or other strange functions prior to this issue? If you are still having these issues and can think of anything in particular, please feel free to reconnect. Hope this helps!

Dishwasher suds up and leaks during wash

Suds in a dishwasher usually come from using too much soap or the wrong kind. Soap can build up over times causing problems. First start a cycle.Do not add detergent or any dishes. When it starts washing, pour a cup of vegetable oil directly into the tub. This will cut the existing soap suds. You may need to try this a couple time before the dishwasher will drain. After all suds have been removed, load you dishwasher and start a cycle filling the detergent cup up half way. If it goes through the cycle with no problems, you should be all set. Still have the problem? A rinse aid dispenser that dispenses too much rinse aid will also cause the dishwasher to suds up. You can remove the dispenser from the door, flush it out and reinstall. Make sure you turn the circuit breaker off before taking the door apart. After rinsing it out, do not add rinse aid. Try the dishwasher and see if the problem goes away. I've seen people accidentally put liquid dish detergent in dispensers too. A dishwasher that has suds is apt to leak. Fix your suds issue and you most likely will fix you leak

Nothing lights up on panel

Always check your circuit breaker 1st to see if it is tripped. If that is ok turn it back off and check the household electrical connection to the dishwasher. This can be found by removing the kickplate below the door. The junction box is usually located in the lower right front corner. Check the wire nuts for a loose or burnt connections. If that is ok your most likely cause is the main control which is located in the control panel.

Pulsating

If you select the Normal Cycle, twice during the cycleyou will hear the wash motor going on and off at amuch different cadence. The pump will pulse severaltimes, repeatedly turning on for less than a secondand off for 10 seconds. This allows it to drive soils off the filter and into the drain while using very littlewater. If, after selecting the Normal Cycle, you select either the Sanitize or Hi-Temp Wash options your dishwasher will understand that a stronger wash is needed and it will not use this pulsing routine

I try to start my GE Profile Dishwasher and nothing happens after I press start except for a click. Is my water pump busted? The dishwasher powers on ok.

Here is a list to trouble shoot your DW. Cross off each item as you go. If this is a new DW..... less than a year old..... it may be under installers warrantee and definitely is under a manufacturers warrantee. Keep that in mind as you go. Look also at your owners manual for troubleshooting help.
