My washing machine is stuck on pause mode. When I push any button or turn the wash cycle knob I get beeps and an error message that flashes PAU & ERR. I have tried all the solutions listed on this site. I have also tried every conceivable combination of buttons to unlock the control panel, unplugged the machine overnight and checked the connections on the door to make sure they are catching properly - all to no avail. Please help!
I fixed this myself and it only took about 5 minutes. The problem is the door latch needs to be reset, which requires unplugging it's three electrical connections. This has to be done inside the washer outer seal, but it is easy to get to. First remove the outer ring that holds the seal on. Next remove only the side of the seal closest to the door latch (again only the outer seal needs to be undone). With this done remove the two screws holding the door latch in place (inside). Remove the latch, unplug the three connectors, plug them back in then reassemble everything. When all is back in place hit "cancel" and it should be good to go.

Can someone please tell me what error E20 means and how to fix it? It comes up within 10 minutes of the wash cycle. I removed all the clothes from the machine and pressed start. It tries to drain water and will not go past this cycle. If I set the washer to spin only it will drain and spin in that setting, but not when washing. Thanks in advance for any help.
holla, Im not showing a E20 code on the tech sheet. There is a E21. Water not draining fast enough. Try holding the start/pause and cancel key together for 3 seconds. The door lock, wash, rinse and final spin leds should light. Any error codes should be displayed when holding those keys. If you see a different error code, post it. If not, I would suspect a clogged pump...Catriver.

My washer will fill with water, it will spin both ways during the wash cycle but when it goes to the spin cycle you can hear the machine draining the water but it does not spin. It will then go onto the rinse cycle where it will again spin both ways and then you can hear it start to drain and go into the final spin cycle but the machine does not spin for it. Help PLEASE!
IT IS THE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY, COST AROUND $50.00 WHICH IS FAR BETTER THAN $300.00, WHAT A SERVICE REPAIR PERSON WILL CHARGE YOU. YEA IT'S THE CRAZIEST THING IMAGINABLE, THE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY BEING THE CAUSE FOR IT TO NOT SPIN ALL THE WATER OUT. I FIXED MINE MYSELF, HAD TO TAKE IT ALL APART VERY CAREFULLY, BUT I SAVED MYSELF $250.00. YOU CAN GET THE PART ONLINE OR GO TO NEAREST APPLIANCE PARTS STORE IN YOUR CITY. ASK FOR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY. THEY WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE IT IS A VERY COMMON, I REPEAT VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS BRAND OF WASHING MACHINE.

We do not pack the clothes into the washer and we have set the spin cycle from high to low and yet our clothes are being ripped inside of the washer. They come out with the rubber on the clothes as if the rubber was burned onto the clothes with the holes being in the same area. I know someone else with the same washer having the same problem. My warranty is expired! What could it be?
Frigidaire washer sucks. I'm tired of this useless machine ripping my clothes. You need to change your bellows(boot) kits around the door on front load. I have changed this kit twice now and each time, I spent $200 in repair fees. I wished I never bought this washer. Will never recommend to anyone i know.

I wash doing was and the machine first gave me the error code of E20 and their was water in the bottom of the basin. We cleaned out the water lines but still could not get the washer to start. It just sounds like the gears or something is not catching to spin the washer. I unplugged the washer and then try to start it again but this time I got the error code of E41. Can any one help with this?
If your machine is stuck on the drain sequence or you read error code E20, the filter basket is probably clogged:
You will need a pair of slip-joint pliers and a Phillips head screwdriver.
Before beginning any work, make sure to unplug the machine from the electrical outlet.
**Note: It may be easier to perform this task with the washer lying on its side; therefore it may be necessary to disconnect the water lines from the machine.
1: Take off the front kick plate (two screws at the bottom of the machine).
3: There is a black accordion hose with two clamps.
2: Have a towel ready to catch the water that leaks.
4: Remove the clamps at each end to access the filter basket.
5: Stick your hand inside the hose and remove the plastic filter basket (it will probably be clogged with hair, lint, fabric).
6: Thoroughly clean the filter basket and remove all debris from the inside of the black accordion hose.
7: Replace the filter basket.
8: Reattach the black accordion hose at both ends.
9: Secure the clamps at each end of the hose.
10: Wipe up any water that may have spilled inside the machine.
11: Reattach the front kick plate with the two screws removed earlier.
12: Reconnect all hoses before plugging in the machine to the electrical outlet.
** This took me about 30 minutes from start to finish.

I have the error code that flashes E21. How do I handle this? I will have to do it myself so I hope it is not that difficult. We have 7 people that live here and 4 are kids. I am drowning in dirty clothes. Please help. Thanks, Regina
I had the code E21 error (not draining) on my 2012 Electrolux EWFLS70JTS0, which I'm guessing is similar to the Frigidaire Front Load Washer. After reading about the potential causes being related to drain or pump obstructions, I decided to try using compressed air into the drain hose at the rear of the washer. No disassembly required. It only took a minute to do from my compressor. I suppose it would be just as effective with a garden hose, but a little more messy. Anyway, 100% problem solved! No more error code, and as soon as I put it in "quick wash" mode (which starts with a drain cycle), it drained. No repair bill. I just hope that whatever was restricting the drain flow does not happen again.

I want to test and service a washer but have no water hook up available. Is it OK to run the washer for short periods to test the different cycles without water in the machine or even connected?
All you can test without water, is the spin and pump functions..
The heater and the wash action will not work without the correct amount of water in the washer.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks

when push start button the door lock engage an I hear another click an a humm be no operation no start ran dio an a error code e5e came up an now i get e41
Washer stopped working, water would start and stop after a few seconds and not progress. It displayed E5E error when prompted for code. I opened up the back of the machine and noticed that a connector was not connected to the control board, i removed the control board to get a better view of where it belonged, and slid the connector over the control board, closed up the machine and it's back in business.
