Glasses and others things are not getting clean in
If you have hard water, glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is toadd some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1 cup of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.
Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.
Other things to try: CLR on the spray nozzles to loosen up cloggs.Check the filters to be sure they are clear.
Glasses are not getting clean
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Check the water temperature inside the dishwasher to
measure the water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F to 140 degree F
as possible. This would have happened as the dishwasher was overloaded with
more than prescribed number of dishes. Check the spray arm and pump cover for
splits or leaks. As the dishwasher is not draining
properly, this issue is related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if
connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter.
Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and
this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to
ensure that the heating element doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to
experience a large amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have
a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn’t
working properly, the drain pump isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is
a plumbing problem in your home’s drain lines. If you have checked the air gap
and the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the
drain pump of the dishwasher. Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
Will not drain
check for a dirty and clogged filter, and make sure pump is running. check float switch at the bottom of the unit and make sure bottom tray is not flooded.
WATER LEAKS UNDER THE SINK WHEN DISHWASHER IS IN
Check the connection to the drain tailpiece from the dishwasher under the sink and make sure the clamp hasn't slipped off and is tight. Check the drain hose from the dishwasher and be sure it's not split or damaged. Check the drain spur on the drain tailpiece and see if it's corroded or leaking. Check the trap under the sink as well and make sure it's not leaking.
