Hi thereI wonder why, mine does though I never use a fabric softener, the water just runs through. It must be clogged somewhere, the only solution I have is the old one. The needle and the thread,try puting a needle through then pull the thread back and forth.I hope it workskolbrun

it must be old , probably the rubber seal need sealing , clean and seal with silacon

Many top load machines have a big metal water level sensor up in the electronics bank with a plastic tube that senses pressure as it fills. There is a small half inch screw in the center of it that is adjustable to set the water level on that thing. The sensor sort of looks like a car EGR vacuum recycler valve. Check Google images of washing machine water level sensors to see if your has it, as it is fairly universal. Make sure your pressure tube is not loose or kinked.

This means that the CCU on the rear of the washer has an electronic glitch. Try unplugging the washer for several minutes if this does not work the CCU would need to be replaced.

To do so remove the top of the washer. Three screws hold it down. The ccu is on the top of the washer. Remove the wires and place on new.
