Dvd says format unsupported
That just means that the media file type is not supported by your DVD player. Is it a "Burned" disc that you are trying to play, if so there are conversion software programs to change the format to one that will work for your player.
My Bose 123 remote seems
Hi,
Sometimes fluctuation of current might cause the blinking. check the current supply if it is too low to carry the system on. Also when a system blinks, been caused by power I C. The power I C is damaged and can power up the system. Needs to be replaced. When replaced will work properly. if not satisy yet, you can check on this site for more help ,http://www.bose.com/pdf/customer_service/owners/og_321_2.pdf Have a nice day.
Cd & aux (amplification of tv audio) works
open up the unit and find the combo tuner board and check from the selector switch(radio/tape/aux) to the tuner for a loss of power, this has to be the problem because its virtually impossible to lose both a.m. and f.m. at the same time and these are both on the same board where as the other options are on separate boards
My remote does not work.
If your remote is not functioning at all still you may want to try a universal and if that works then you will know you need a new bose remote. If that does not work it would lead to the ir sensor on the unit.
You may want to try to clean the ir ( the front of the remote with cotton or a q-tip and the same on the receiver first and then after they are dry go over them again with a clean dry one to get the residue off to see if that works.

Sony DVD+R AccuCORE disc recorded on HP dv4-2045dx
Sometimes dvd players will have problems playing certain types of recordable discs. You might need to switch from the Sony brand and try a different one. Also there are DVD+R and DVD-R types. The Bose might have issues trying to play a "+" type disc. Also make sure that the disc is being properly "finalized" by the burning software you are using so the Bose system will recognize the disc. The burning software I use is called Nero Burning Rom and it is very easy to use. It allows you to control the burning for various applications and can help with "problem discs". If you are able to play other burnable discs in the Bose and the Sony discs are the only one giving you the problems then it is probably just that brand and you will not be able to use them with your Bose. And just a note some older DVD burners can only burn "+" type discs or "-" type discs but not both. Your computer according to the specifications from HP should not have a problem burning both types as long as the drive is the original.

Clicking noise on top of audio when using digital
Of course it comes from the speakers. What I meant was - what source originates the clicking? Pops on a digital feed are from digital data read errors or overloads (all 1's).
To what is the TV sending digital audio, and why? Any TV-related audio should be available to the Bose directly from the same device the TV gets it. Why send it to the TV first?
Left speaker works in all modes except the tv mode
It sounds like there must be a bad connection on that input. Try switching the left and right input cables for the TV and see if you get the left cahannel working. If so, investigate a possible bad cable or output issue from the TV.
Our dvd was skipping took it out to see that there
Unplug your system for a few minutes and after it reboots try to eject, or hold the eject button down. If this does not work call Bose technical support. Regardless please call technical support and ask them for a software update disc. They will not automatically send you updates. You must call them and ask them for their free latest update disc and then after you put it into your machine you should experience many less problems.
