Unfortunately, if there isn't a button for it on the panel of the TV, there is no way to switch the mode without the remote. Just like these new DVD players that only have a power, play, and eject button on the unit itself. Without the remote, you can't access any other feature or command.

try to press the display button on your remote for 5 sec, when the lock symbols disappear turn off your unit on the remote and unplug it

Durabrand television's are grate little units, I can't be leave how clear.
I just picked one up this evening. You can pickup a remote at Home Depot for around $10.00USD or order from manf. for twice that.!

1. The Menu key on the front will bring you into the basic setup screens.

Channel setup
V-Chip Setup
Caption
ect.

Using the Volume + and - along with the Channel up (+) and down(- ) key's, will give you all the adjustments you may need without a remote control.

Unfortunately, there are no codes available for that particular brand of TV. Don't bother with a universal remote because you'll have the same problem. The manufacturer of that TV didn't communicate with any universal or cable remote manufacturer which is why it can only be controlled by the original remote or a replacement from the manufacturer of the TV.

If it's only three months old then return it for exchange or refund.

Durabrand is one of many low budget no-name brands which buy generic products at the lowest price possible and then stick their badge on the front.

This is great for bargain hunters, but at the price they buy items for there is very little quality control at the factory on what's being shipped out As a result, problems of the type which you describe are especially common within the first few months of use which is effectively a running in period which will reveal any defects.

I'm not knocking your choice of DVD player, but you do get what you pay for.

Yes, this looks as if you have a bad connection somewhere in the audio stage, this should be able to be fixed by a simple re-soldering.

like I said before to to people... if your channels are showin up like so (4.1 or 4-1) then yes it's digital!

I am unable to find the Duraband tv, however many times you can search fo one that will work.

Try this.

1. Turn on TV
2. Press and hold the TV button on the remote
3. While holding the TV button also press and hold the power button.
4. The light on the remote should go out and then a second later come back on.
5. Release both buttons, the light should remain on.
6. Aim the remote at TV and press the power button about every 5 seconds until TV turns off.
7. Press the STOP button at bottom of remote., this will lock in the code.
8. Use the remote to turn TV back on and test all buttons on remote to insure you have the correct code.

If the remote will work with Durabrand this is the way to find it, unfortunately the remote may not work for all TV's.

1. I manually turned the TV on.
2. Then I pressed and held the component key (which was TV) the light turns on and remains on.
3. While holding the TV button down, I pressed and held the on/off key. The LED indicator light turns off.
4. After holding down both keys for three seconds, the LED light tuns back on.
5. Press and release the on/off button until the TV turns itself off. YOU FOUND IT'S CODE.
6. NOW press the stop button and the LED light turns off.
As mentioned above the code isn't perfect cause the volume up is the subtitle button and the menu for the TV is the volume up.. ----- Volume down, on/off, tv/video all work the way they should. It's good for you and you work until get the Durabrand TV remote control.

yes i fixed the problem, I googled for codes for direct tv and got a list of codes for durabrand, here are the codes i found==10463.10180 10178 11034 10003 this is the one that worked for me--10171

direct tv satalitd calls for 5 numbers

cable vision only calls for 4 mumbers
i found these on a chart, 0067 1467 0586

you cant i haver tried many times and many ways but a cheap universal remote does the trick

When programing a universal remote for a DWT1905 try the codes for FUNAI from the list that came with your universal remote.

Try the codes for FUNAI. They made this tv for Walmart.

go to menu and see the option for games.

 

Connect converter cable to the antenna inputs. If you need help identifying them, here is a link to the owners manual that identifies all the hook ups.

Look at page 3 of your manual. It explains closed captions an the different modes.

I assume that Durabrand is sold by Walmart and in that case it should be a TV manufactured by Funai. (Thanks here to wikipedia!)
