Check around the fused assembly. Is it a new one, or is it one you put to one side as as a spare? If you have a service contract with Xerox you should be able to order a new one. I don't remember all they error codes but the 10 codes usually refer to the fuser unit. Good luck.

Hi Arthur Look at the cable that would connect to the hard drive. The Data side is either SCSI, or ATA or SATA. Look these up on Google and see what matches. All modern Hard Drives are 3.5" for desktop computers or 2.5" for laptops. Visit a site such as OWC (Other World Computing) to purchase a drive. If the default username and password (admin/1111) are not working on your Xerox 7435 printer, you can try resetting the password to its default settings using the following steps:

Turn on the printer and wait for it to boot up completely.
Press the button with a wrench icon on the printer's control panel to enter the settings menu.
Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Security" option and press the OK button.
Select the "User Authentication" option and press OK.
Enter the current password, if you remember it. If you don't remember it, leave it blank.
Select the "Reset User Accounts" option and press OK.
Select the "Restore Defaults" option and press OK.
Confirm that you want to restore the default settings by selecting "Yes" and pressing OK.
After you have completed these steps, the printer's password will be reset to the default settings (admin/1111). You should now be able to log in to the printer's settings menu using these credentials.
