Pioneer DVR-111D (DVR111DBK) DVD RW Dual Layer Burner - Page 9 Questions & Answers
What connections do i make
depends on what connections the vcr has, I think you should connect it to the antenna connector, then find the right channel or adjust it from the vcr(see note 1) so you get picture from the vcr into the tv card, you can then record and watch anything from the vcr to the computer.
Note1: Some vcr's will have a adjustment screw on the back where you can adjust the frequency / channel / signal.

My laptop's DVD player (Pioneer
It could be a wrong burning software, try out
Nero, but my experience is that usualy these things are dieing this way, first they won't write dvd than won't even read later they are even haveing troubles with cds.
If that's the case than it's time to use your warranty if you have any left, or if you don't but you want to fix it than just bring it to the local laptop repair center and they'll change it for you for 30-60 GBP+ their services or just buy one at ebay and do it yourself, but in that case double check what you are ordering, or ask the seller about compatibility.

Laser disc player produces b&w only lately? pioneer cld-d504
Ooops, in my efforts to find laser disc INFO I ended up in a completely irrelevant category; because there no longer exists a Laser Disc category. So I shall abandon the laser disc player as technologically obsolete (there goes still another species of dinosaur off to the fossil beds) and give up on seeing those movies in color.

I need pioneer dvr-215bk dvd
dvd roms do not need drivers they are a standard format drive and should be recognised by your pc immediately.
in order to play DVDs you will however need a Software DVD player like WINDVD or POWER DVD
DVD-RWs do not need drivers but may require that the CD burning software that you use may need updating.

Drive will not read cd rom, reads dvd and audio
CD rom drive is dead!
Time to go out and buy a new one. Rough cost is anywhere for a DVD BURNER is $25 - $40.
DVD burner are now the mainstream drives replacing CD roms.
But if you can still get a replacement CD rom from a computer in town should be cheaper than a DVD burner.
DVD burner can read and write DVD's and CD's.

My pioneer cd/dvd/rw-dvr 111D will
My cd drive does this as well not a good thing but I have found that if you put a disc you know it will read in then anydisc you want it to read it should read it. Mine only does it every now and then. I have also found that if just after the cd door closes if you give it a tap on the cd door it will read the disc try it it might work for you. I have taken mine to a repairer and the drive is operating fine and they could not figure out what was wrong for it to do that and yes it did do it for them to.
