Wrong DVD/CD drive type
Did the Pioneer come with its own drivers if so then install those if not search google.com for the correct drivers youll find it will recognize the dvd?.
DVD & CD drives not recognized after uninstall Nero
plain reinstallation of windows won't solve the problem, either you edit your registry to clean it up of all the nero entries or to install windows in clean mode, I mean, you need to reformat or remove windows completely first fron your system.
Internal Burner Error
my sugestion is not to burn at 16x but to burn at 8x and use another burning software that allowsx you to burn at 8x speed as I've found I get alot of errors at max burn on my burner.
so I dropped the burnner speed and have not had any problems with burning.
hope this helps

you need a dvd player program that is designed for dvd playback I use Cyberlink powerdvd to play dvd's on my pc you could look for another player out there but windows needs a codec to play dvds with sound.

Dvd freezes windows when a disk is inserted
If you have two drives on the same ide cable, one has to be set at master, the other as slave, the hard drive should always be the master.
But you should'nt normally put a cd drive on the same ide as a hard drive as this will slow up the read write speed of your hdd.
Make sure the ide cable is the correct way around, and that all the drives have been recognised in the bios.
To enter the bios press f2 or del on boot up and see if all the drives appear there.
Dvd compatibility issues...
You should try updating the firmware in the burner.

Won't read Nero 7 Installation CD
Firstly ensure the drive letter is correct for your dvd drive, if you still have an old drive fitted as well this new one the drive letter will probably be E:\.
It may be that the bios is not seeing the correct dvd drive.
On boot up press F2 or DEL, this will take you to the 'standard cmos settings' line.
Highlight this line and press enter.
You should then see a list of drives attached to your pc, normally pressing F3 or a similair command(depending on motherboard it will tell you how to do this on bottom of screen) detects all drives.
Otherwise go to each line Pri, Sec etc, and press enter on each to see what appears.
When you see your dvd drive is recognised, press F10, this will save and force a re boot.
Also try right clicking on your DVD drive and go to properties, there should be a tab saying enable writing on this drive, but be cautious as Windows Writing programme may take over from Nero.

How to take off face plate pioneer PVR 9200 DVR
You will need to remove the drive from the chassis first. Then take a long slender probe and insert in the hole to release the media tray. Once the tray is extended you will be able to pry the face plate off by pressing the tabs that click it in place.
