As I have not received a response, I'm assuming these hints have taken care of your problem. If you have any more troubles, feel free to drop me a note back.
I was changing the hoses and in the process my
The part is the water valve. Before replacing it you may want to try to apply some teflon tape on the threads, also be sure you have the rubber washers installed in the hoses.
You can replace this part yourself if needed part number is 21001932 and should run around 35$.
Be sure to unplug the washer before proceeding, and slide the washer away from the wall about 2 feet.
You will need to first pop up the top of the washer. The
entire top is designed to open like the hood on a car. Between the
front panel and the top about 3 inches in from the left and the right
sides you will see the face of a spring clip. You need to use a putty
knife to depress the clips and lift the front edge of the top. swing the
top all the way up and allow it to lean against the wall behind the
washer. Be sure it is tipped back enough that it is not gonna swing
forward and hit you.
You will now be able to access the valve located in the back of the machine. There is usually one screw that holds the valve to the back of the machine. There will be two wire connections on the valve that need to be removed, and the hose that connects to the top of the valve.
Good luck with this!
Makes a VERY loud noise as if unbalanced, but not!
access is gained thought the back of these units. Try using a flat screw driver to release the top of the unit you can see the tub and basket from there. Gently pry top up at the seam and dont lift to the point where you pull wiring and bend parts.
Hi my washer does not drain properly. I think it
I would start with the simple possiblities first.
Remove the front cover (look for 2 phillips screws at the bottom of the front cover) Once you pull the screws, pull the bottom of the front cover forward until it disengages the two top retainer clips. This will expose the interior of the machine.
The pump is at the bottom right and has the hose from the drum attached and the other hose goes out the back of the machine.
The pump is opaque plastic and you can see if there's something jammed in the pump ( like a small sock). If it's "sucked a sock" it will jam the pump and will cause the drive belts (under the machine) to burn, stretch and not pump the water out. You can replace the belts by simply reaching under the machine and moving the electric motor a little.
If you've cleared the pump and changed the belts, try running the machine through a cycle with the front cover off and see if you've solved the problem..
with Maytag, this is usually the solution... If you're still not draining, you may have a small clothing article in between the inner tub and the outer tub... this will eventually block the drain on the outer tub and prevent water from getting pumped out..
You can use a straightened out coat hanger with a small hook bent on one end, take the top onf the machine loose (2 machine bolts hold the front corners down and tip it back away from the machine case. This will allow you to take the top cover off the outer drum exposing the space between the inner and outer drums. Take your "fishing rod" coat hanger and fish between the two drums on the right side near the drain hole... Most times you can snag and remove the blockage and pull it out.
Hope this solves your issue.. please let us know if we can help you further ...
Won't fill with hot water
FIRST THING I WOULD CHECK ARE THE HOSES. TURN OFF THE HOSES AND REMOVE FROM WASHER ONE AT A TIME OPEN THE COLD INTO A BASIN TO FLUSH THE LINE OUT. DO THE SAME WITH THE HOT SIDE SEE WHAT KIND OF FLOW YOU ARE GETTING, IF THE FLOW IS NORMAL CHECK THE VALVES ON THE BACK OF WASHER THERE SHOULD BE SCREENS TO COLLECT THE DIRT FROM GETTING TO THE VALVES, IF ALL IS GOOD THE HOT WATER VALVE MAY BE HANGING UP OR NOT OPENING ALL THE WAY
