My Avanti fill up but stop working

My washer is not turning or spinning could someone please help me

I guess you got a Korean washing machine

E2 shows on display with 2 tone sound and when press power button E9 code appears and doesn't work .
If you confirm this then it's simple 5 minutes work fix.

The pressure sensor is defect or were valve aways leaking water.
Unplug power
Unscrew 2 screws from top cover and slide it back to remove
First thing keep water hose connected and water supplied open detergent drawer and take a look and see if water is comming inside when unit is unpluged from power .If no water leaking them next step is pressure e sensor
You 'll see it a brown round shape with a hose attached to it unplug the 3 colored wires pink red and white all in single connector .
Unscrew and replace it also another thing to check
Is blow by your mouth some air in pressure sendor hose to check if it's cleared you should get a little bubble noise due to water residual in tub it's normal thing and final thing Open drain pump filter to check if it's blocked that's it .
If you are an electrical person please reply to give you more technical information about testing the pressure sensor and electtonic board before buying new one

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

It seems there is a fault on the main controller unit of the washer. It seems to start and then drain off in mid cycle. Now choose a different program and see if there is any change. Also check individually the inlet valve, the water level sensor and also the drain valve. Also check all the connections to the main panel.

Ace hardware.

Had the same problem. The water pump is not working and since it cant drain water it wont spin. A easy fix. There's a magnet located on the water pump thats comes lose. Simply tie it back into place.

Tangling problems are normally related to how the washer is loaded. Do not place a garment around the perimeter in a circular fashion. Instead drop the article straight down in a kind of 'heap', one item next to or on top of another but not layed out in a circle. Hope this helps.

check lid..either the lid switch is bad or the lid switch actuator which is made into top...when in final spin push down on the right hand top part of lid,,,if it starts replace part needed,,,good luck

E4 indicates an unbalanced condition.
Stop the unit, re-arrange the load and procede normal cycle.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Ensure the balance is correct first by following my guidance notes:-

It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.

Hi, well that burning rubber smell is indeed disconcerting to say the least. However IF there was NO malfunction, and the smell didn't hasn't increased, then it may simply have been something getting hot and emitting an odor.

Usually belts do not smell unless they are under enormous strain, and then there would be an obvious fault with the machine, as well as a loud noise from the belt area as well, as it slipped.

I don't really think that three small blankets should over tax this machine, however it may have made it work say a bit harder than is normal? and something overheated, not to any detriment, and made that smell. Also if there were NO obvious vapor or smoke etc. Then that to bodes well, for just a smell, without a bad cause. It may have even been caused by say something getting onto an element and causing this smell too? Another thing it maybe is the motor, if a motor is stressed it to can make this type of smell.

Anyway to this end, I think I would attempt to use the machine as normal again, this time though, watching the machine closely, now if all's well and there is no more or a stronger smell, and nothing seems to get worse etc. then most likely all is well and you should be safe to continue to use it.

However IF during this usage you detect a stronger smell, a different smell, vapor or smoke, or, you detect a malfunction. please switch off immediately, and call a service person straight away. Indicate to them, what you have done here, and ONLY ask FIRST for a "Quote" as to cost and type of repair to be done. Then make a decision as to repair or replace?

There could be a couple of possibilities which are explained below :-

1. Lid switch is not being engaged .Remove rear top cover , Phillips screws - snap clips use flat blade screw driver to pop cover .Look at rear of lid (door) right side plastic arm part of lid snapped off replace lid, then check safety switch manually over ride switch as a test .If machine spins change lid if switch broken as well change both.

2. This could be a problem with pump.There is a clog some where between the connector that hooks up to the sink and the other end of the water hose that connects to the washer. Remove the water hose end that connects to the washer and there should be a screen in the end. Either the washer side or the hose side of that connection. This screen protects the water valve from debris that comes through all water pipes and faucets. So as not to allow it to reach the water valve.
This valve is activated by a Solenoid. So either you will find a clogged hose or it has a defective water valve or solenoid.

Have a Avanti 798SS Washer. Does not wash nor does it spin. I heard something with the motor as if it attempting to perform said task (wash) but in the end it beeps and E2 flashes. What does this mean

Hi. Take the hose to most any neighborhood hardware store and they will fit it for you. Often, a local mom and pop hardware will be most helpful and knowledgeable. I assure you that there is a fix for your problem. J.

Make sure the waste hose is sufficiently high enough above the ground to stop the water siphoning out. Try raising up the waste hose to approx 90cm / 36 inches.

WITH THE LID OPEN THERE SHOULD BE A SWITCH THAT THE LID MAKES CONTACT WITH IF THIS SWITCH IS NOT WORKING THE WASHER WILL NOT SPINYOU SHOULD SEE A PIN ON THE LID THAT WILL GO INTO A HOLE ON THE TOP OF THE WASHER ,WITH THE LID OPEN PUSH ON THE BUTTON AND SEE IF THE WASHER SPINSIF SO REPLACE THE SWITCH.
