nothing is junk until you get in an electrician to test and rectify the faulty wiring or advise that it is too costly to repair and then it is junk

Lost my manual have frigidaire gallery stove need to know how to use self clean
This isn't what your looking for, but please read this. I've been a technician since 2001, and I wrote this based strictly from seeing it first hand,
The oven temperature is regulated by a temperature sensor when placed in self clean the sensor is removed from the circuit and full power is applied to both the bake and broil elements causing an the temperature to exceed in some some models up to 1,000 F. I would recommend against using self clean for the simple fact that no oven cavity to this date has been designed to withstand that high of a temperature and therefore excess heat is passed upward resulting in damaged lock mechanisms, control boards, and other electronic components. The most common complaint I have had with built in ovens besides the element burning out, is the oven door locked shut. When I get to the house and I ask to tell me a little bit of whats going on the story always starts " well, I was using the self clean option" or some variation of the sort. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

Code came up when trying to set tim code " 5A6 "
The error your range is displaying is actually "SAB", which means it has inadvertently been set on "Sabbath Mode". This mode enables certain religious faiths to disable certain features of the range in order to honor the sabbath. Usually this disables the oven, but allows the consumer to still use the surface burners. You cannot defeat it by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker either. You will either have to wait 72 hours for the mode to clear, or figure out how to turn it off.
If the model number is correct, somewhere in the owner/operator's manual is a section that refers to "Sabbath Mode". Since all ranges differ in features, you need to refer to the operation section of your owner's manual to find out how to shut the feature off. According to page 17 of the Owner's Manual, to cancel the Sabbath Mode, you need to press and hold the CLOCK button for 5 seconds.
If you can't find this information, or no longer have an owner's manual, you can download or print a copy for FREE at managemylife.com. Just enter your model number under the "Manuals" link and you will find it listed in .pdf (Adobe) format.
If you have questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Magic chef stove model # 6898VRA keeps setting off
Hi,
Have you tried to Turn it OFF and then Turn it ON.You could also try Pushing Multiple Buttons, if that could help.
If not, i am afraid that this is a BAD CONTROL BOARD / TOUCH PAD error. You need to replace either or both of these. Once done, it would Fix the Problem.
Some Models do Incorporate Touch Pad and Clock Control as One Part. So, that means you Could have Bad Clock Control.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

How do I turn off the pilot light in my Magic Chef 31000paw oven? I think when it stays on it is wasting gas.
I don't know. While half a century ago it was common that pilot lights would be permanently lit to provide instant lighting of oven and hobs, because they did consume a significant amount of gas they fell out of favour and spark ignition became reliable.
Amid a number of related and unrelated accidents the gas oven began to be seen as potentially dangerous and so they were fitted with a couple of safety devices so for a considerable time the pilot light has to be relit every time the oven is used and the pilot light will be switched off when the oven burners are turned off.
Thinking back a long time, the pilots of our old cooker could be turned off using a screwdriver to turn a central service valve hidden under the hob spill tray.
