Can you see a spark when that happens? It should be right in the vicinity of the bottom of the gas flame, and it should spark briefly every time you hear that clicking noise. That's what lights the flame. If you see a spark, your burners may just need a thorough cleaning inside. If you do NOT see a spark but you still hear the clicking noise, remove the burner trays and try to find someplace where the little wire leading to each "spark plug" is permitting a spark to the stovetop instead of the burner.

Sounds like you have a faulty control switch. If you want to check it. Turn off the gas, swap the control with one of the others that you know works. That will tell you if the switch is the problem.

If it is still under warranty, you may have it seen under warranty. The surface probably was not treated well before they applied the powder coating, not unless you have exceeded the operating limits of the oven (high temperatures for a long period of time).
