Why wont my emachine desktop burn data onto a dvd

First check whether you have a DVD writer or not.1)If you drive is a DVD writer a DVD-RW will be written on top of the drive otherwise it is not a dvd writer...so obviously it will not write a DVD.2) If the drive is a DVD-RW then you need a burning software to burn diske. Please download any valid burning softwares from the interne such as 'Nero' or 'Power iso' and install the same in your pc to burn dvd.

If you feel that, my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote.

Thanks.

Can't get computer hooked up correctly to Epson

Assuming you are on a network, you should be able to search for the printer and connect to it by simply browsing the server it is installed on. so - \\servername then right click on the printer and click connect. This will install it automatically.

My W3410 eMachine desktop won't Boot at all!!!!!!

Sounds like a harddisk failure unfortunately. You might want to boot your original OS disc and perform a repair (non-destructive), this may either confirm an HD crash or fix the problem.

Hard reset on the emaachines el1200 manually

Start your computer up in Safe Mode and see if you can get to your recovery management that way.
when you first boot up look for the F-8 key that will allow you to enter and select Safe Mode (only) that should allow you to get to your desktop.

Lan problem

Hi ramlance,
click the link I have posted below. This is the download page for your E-machine W3410 PC desktop.

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=W-Series&model=W3410

Click the + sign next to Downloads. Scroll down till you see Network.
Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC Network Driver.
Click, Download (106.00 KB). File name, D00328-001-001.exe
Creat a folder on your desktop & call it Lan Driver. Save the driver into this folder. Suggest you save this web site in your Favorites. Never know when you'll need to come back here.
Run the the file D00328-001-001.exe
When finished re-start the PC even if windows does not ask you too. When windows finishes loading lets check if windows see's your network card. Click the start button & open control panel. Double click the system icon, click the hardware tab, click the device manager button. Scroll down to Network Adapters, click the + sign to open. Do you see a lan card that reads Realtek bla, bla, bla? Do you see a yellow ! point? If you do not your lan card is installed correctly.
Lets test your lan card now.
Close all opend windows. Click the start button, click run, in the window type command & press the enter key. A window will open & it will read like this:
C:\Docume~1\Your name>
type this command:
C:\Docume~1\Your name>ping www.yahoo.com
There is 1 space between g & the first w
Press the enter key.
This is what your PC will list after you press enter:

Pinging www.yahoo-ht3.akadns.net [69.147.11.210] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 69.147.114.210: bytes=32 time=22ms TTL=50
Reply from 69.147.114.210: bytes=32 time=23ms TTL=50
Reply from 69.147.114.210: bytes=32 time=22ms TTL=50
Reply from 69.147.114.210: bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=50

Ping statistics for 69.147.114.210:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 <0% loss>

There is a wee bit more but we do not need it. If you see the above your network card is hualing ****.
Type the word exit & press enter to leave this window & return to windows.

If you see the word failed than there is could be a problem with your network card.
Suggest you make sure your connection from your DSL or cable box is running correctly. Each has a reset button on the back side of their box. Shut down your PC. Unplug the power from the DSL or Cable box. Using a pen press the reset button & hold for about 10 seconds. Plug the power cord back in & start your PC.
Try the command key again. If this still says Failed than you may need to buy a PCI lan card & install it into the PC.
The odds of two lan cards not working is not likely.
This is what must be done to prove your ISP is full of s***!

I hope this has helped you.
If you have another question feel free to ask.
Just in case you need a lan card I'll post a link for one.

I received a notice that I qualified for a bonus, but I can't activate it because there is no submit button. I have had the same problem trying to place an order. What can I do?

a notice via e-mail ? That is likely a scam/virus-redirect attack...with the 'submit' button being the attack. Your Anti-virus program may have automatically removed the malicious link for you so you would not have infected yourself.....

E640 REBOOT

Hi John,I see you mentioned you update IE9 then you now get a blank screen...If I may ask the blank screen showed up after the update or did it show up after restarting the computer? If your getting a Blank screen when you boot into windows after the IE9 update, try rebooting then boot into Safemode.Restart you computer then as soon as you see the Boot screen of you computer keep on Tapping f8 to get a list select safemode, then once it boots into safemode windows will load up in safemode on the issue and you can navigate arround to fix things that went wrong.click on the Start Button on the lower left of the task bar then, click on Programs, select accessories then select system tools, look for system restore then select the option select a different restore point, on the window you may see a list of restore points hoping your system restore was turned on in the very beginning, once you have selected a restore point keep on clicking next then a warning will show just click next again then it will restart your computer.System restore allows you to restore to a date where you had windows working fine without any problems so if you can get a restore point before updating IE9 then it is possible that you may be able to fix you windows back the way it was.I hope that this will help, michaelvincentc

Emachines t5212 overheat message then shuts down

Three causes of ovheating:1) Dust. Dust inside the computer, Dust around the vents, fans, cpu and heat sink. Take a can of compressed air and clean the dust out of the computer.2) A Fan not working. Make sure the fan inside the Power Supply where you plug the power cord in works. Also there is a fan that sits on top of the CPU and Heat Sink. Make sure it works. Normally the system will give you an error message if the fan is not working.3) Thermal Paste - The Thermal Paste around the cpu and heat sink has dried up or is too thin to keep the unit cool. Apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste on the CPU and Heat Sink.
