Candy CN146
0I have a candy intergraded washine machine ,could you tell me where the filter is please as the wash finish but still has water in, I put the cycle on to the water discharge and it emptys, then i put it onto a spin which works fine. But i need to know the problem
Cmd146 dryer heating top chamber but not in drum
It sounds as though the fan motor is faulty, usually these motors distribute the heat from the heater box into the drum. Because the heater box is getting hot I doubt if the fault is the thermostat so it may well be the motor or associated wiring
Stop light flashing
i have a candy activa cm1 146. no matter what i do the stop light is always flashing. Ive emptied the machine, turned it off at the mains, checked the waste pipe and currently trying to empty the filter, whilst the light is flashing it will not work on any programs???

Pump runs after cycle finished and light goes out
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter- so many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My Candy smart washer dryer
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would gently suggest as a first step that you check the drain motor lint tray/filter to save another 75. Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

My machine no longer takes in fabric softener
(I have just copied this from my previous problem solution!)
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @ 14:29 Tues afternoon- just after lunch and before going outside to do some (necessary) gardening!
Very common problem- often reported as 'water coming out of the tray and down the front of my machine' or 'there is still water and conditioner in the tray' !!!
What is often missed when cleaning the conditioner drawer is the tube/pipe bit which (normally) sticks up at the back. It has to be completely clear of any softener/powder mix. I clean ours quite regularly with something like a small screwdriver to literally scrape this gunge out- I blame my wife but don't tell her!
The pre-wash and wash trays have open ends because the powder sits in them until the water washes them into the machine. Because conditioner/softener is already fluid it would run straight into the machine as you poured it.
What should normally happen is that the fluid plus water siphons down into this tube and then into the drum.
I'm sure this should cure you problem- and probably your friend's!
Cheers,
John C
