Not heating
Do a continuity test on the heater coil. No continuity, it's broke replace it. If it over heated and the coil is ok then the thermal protection fuse blew. Both the fuse and the thermister need to be replaced & check the vent where it exits to the outside. It may be clogged and the cause of the problem in the first place. Very common cause. If not addressed it will break down again. See youtube for videos on how to test the thermal fuse & thermister. Just search "dryer repair". Review a few. Some are better than others.
Wiring diagram
The wiring diagram should show the proper position of the wires. BE SURE you follow it exactly, and keep son away from machine.
It says the water needs emptying but it is empty
After reading about various dryer problems / solutions it seems others have had this same problem. It could be that a smaller resevoir which houses the sensor connected to the water collector is full and it's valve may be blocked with lint. It can be solved by getting to the valve and removing the lint. You may need to remove the valve itself. Hope that helps. Good luck.
