The timer light is blinking yet no power what does that mean

The model indicated if unplugged and plugged back should have the green light blink for about 70 seconds and then stop blinking and go out---set is booting up--if it does not ever stop blinking something in Digital area is bad--this was a common problem in these sets and is not a do it yourself repair.

HelloThis is really a problem to some Mitsubishi projection TVs.

This LCD Projection Television uses three LCD panels to create the screen image. This technology creates the image using small dots, or picture

elements (pixels). Your LCD Projection TV is manufactured to a high level of performance and quality, in fact, 99.99% perfect in the number of

properly functioning pixels. As in other display technology, sometimes a pixel is continuously active, inactive or the incorrect color. Our standard is clear; MDEA warrants only that the percentage of properly functioning pixels will be not less than 99.99% of all pixels. This is the company says about this problem. Your set need service care fro authorised service center.

BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE, please review the instruction booklet to insure proper installation and correct customer control adjustment. If the problem persists please arrange for warranty service

My Mitsubishi WD-52527 has a

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV. Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired ofcourse) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 yearsinstead of 10-20. The capacitors failprematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in allsorts of devices. Here are some options for you.
1. Have it fixed by a professional 2. Open your TV and find PSB. Checkfor faulty caps. If you find some (bulgedor leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. 3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill. Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourselfit will save you hundreds. I have a tip/tutorialon this site that may also help. Itgives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It'scalled: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. Hope this helps and Good luck.Kaufman605

The wire you speak of comes as part of the light engine. IT is not a replaceable part. Your best bet would be to contact local repair shop and see if they have one from a scrap set.

Confirmed case of a faulty color wheel. The hum confirms that the motor that is spinning the wheel is acting up. You will need a replacement color wheel with housing to resolve this problem. Not sure whether you can do it yourself as this is a rather complicated repair though.
