try a factory reset. it may be a fault when turning on. also it can happen more if left in standby mode. every now and then turn the power off completely overnight, this will discharge the capacitors and remove the static build up that can affect the bios of the tv.

Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. if the indicator turns to red you possibly have power supply problem,,If the indicator is green and have sounds you have t-con board or inverter problem.

Hello Jason:Check the inverter board for blown fuses in will be a micro surface mount fuse, if it is blown then replace the inverter board assembly. The inverter is used to light the back lights of the screen. Also check the supply voltage from the power supply to the inverter should be between 12volts to 30 volts.Also you if the inverter board checks ok , then your problem lies in the T-Con board this board is at the top to the panel under a shield.

Right now the standby 5vdc is working but it may have gone into safety shutdown due to failed power supply or shorted circuits in the backlight inverter board. You need to troubleshoot it to narrow down the causes first before buying the wrong parts.

All you have to do is to open the back cover of the television and check connectors that are loosen that is not intact , this is the likely problem that may occur , since the television is working before .

This may or may not be your solution.

The tact switches (push buttons) mounted on the circuit board may need to be replaced (old, worn, sticking). These are the buttons that are pressed in when you use the controls on the television set (volume, menu, channels etc.). Try removing all of these switches (don't remove the remote sensor). Don't remove just the channel switches.

If you have a remote than you don't 'have' to replace them, only if you want to control the tv from the set itself. After you remove them see if you have the same issue. If so you may need a new control IC chip.

A repair shop will charge about $75 to replace the buttons. If you have the tools and knowledge than feel free to do it yourself. To remove mine, I just used pliers and was careful. However to replace them you will need a soldering iron.
