If your amo is a subwoofer amp yes you want a LPF. Low pass filters are capable of passing low frequency energy. As far as the impedance of your amp goes check with the manufacturer for proper the proper load. What speaker config do you have?

2 DVC 8 ohms in parallel (voice coils) then series (speakers) are 8 ohms
2 DVC 4 ohm - in parallel (voice coils) then series (speakers) are 4 ohms

DVC is dual voice coil

Impedence for parallel is (Z1^-1+Z2^-1)^-1 or 1/((1/Z1)+(1/Z2))
Use those to figure out parallel impedance, series you just add them together.

check all connections then check the subs voice coils to make sure there not burnt smelling, or burnt looking.then check the cars charging system you might have to add an extra battery,and or cap.

then use it as a paperweight...seriously, you prolly blew the jensen speaker, you prolly damaged the amp

Your amp could still have a short not allowing it to provide audio to your speakers. Confirm that your speakers are not blown. Use VOM meter to confirm the ohm rating.

This means that the remote wire is 0V instead of 12V. Try to connect it over from the 12V to check if it powers on.

MKe sure you have 12 vole coming from m your remote will re after your system starts up.

There is nada wrong with your preamp and changing it will accomplish nothing. If your channels are allegedly clipping it is due to the fact that it is being over driven. A bad preamp could not over drive your amp! Have to be careful with tone controls at high levels. Every 3db increase compels amp to double power at that frequency. So if you are blasting at 2000 watts and you boost a control by that amount, your amp will put out 4000 watts and clip. If plus 6db then it is 8000 watts!
