Generally speaking this means a fault in the power output stage of the amp, which is the part in the pcb where the Output Transistors and the Aluminum Heatsink are, hope this helps.

Denon AVR 1706 Powers on display then shuts off lght blinks red

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.

hope this helps?

The amp shuts down repeatedly after approx 3 mins of operation

Hello,
Its usually not a fault that you will see unless somethings burnt up. This is solid state electronics and you don't see this stuff go bad. But in the meantime try disconnecting the speakers and see if it still goes into shutdown and at the same time have a dc multimeter attached to the speaker outputs. If the unit comes on and you don't see any DC at all or very very little B+ on both speaker terminal sets then you may have a defective speaker. If you do see dc then that's why the protections coming on so you don't blow out your speakers. If you don't have any equipment or don't have any electronics experience I would then take the unit to a repair person for an estimate. Good Luck

Power On + red LED turns on + but final relay (click) don't come so no sound

Your audio output transistors are shorted and your unit is staying in "protect " mode to protect your speakers from 40 to 60 volts that is being sent at them from the shorted outputs. If you can use a meter you won't need the schematic MOST likely because the outputs are USUALLY the only parts that short out. The output transistors( or chip ) are mounted to the large, finned heatsink. The #'s on the transistors start with "2SA-" and "2SC-" followed by numbers. There are two output transistors per channel. If your unit uses an IC for audio output then the # on the IC will be "STK-" followed by numbers. These parts are available from tritronicsinc.com. Good Luck!

Size of fuse for Denon dra 697

The Denon DRA-697CI stereo receiver typically uses a 250V, 2.5A fuse. However, it's always a good idea to consult the user manual or check the label near the power input on the device itself to confirm the exact fuse size and specifications for your particular model. Using the correct fuse size is important for safety and to prevent damage to the receiver. If you're unsure, you can also contact Denon customer support for assistance.

I have a old Denon DP-47F turntable, if I pressed the Arm lifter button, the tonearm can be slowly rising, but if Down, the tonearm will suddenly go down, no buffering. Please ask how to fix it.

Check and clean the dampening piston(s) associated with the raise / lower mechanism. The silicon oil may have dried up or leaked out.

Denon dvd 1940 problem. All funcion is ok, but audio impul not works? but

Check all connections from the DVD player to your amplifier/receiver and TV. Make sure the audio cables are securely connected at both ends. Try connecting the DVD player to another amplifier/audio system using different cables to isolate if the issue is with the player or cables. Check the audio settings on the DVD player - make sure audio output is enabled and set to an appropriate format like PCM or Bitstream. Go through the audio setup menu and reset to factory defaults. Make sure the volume on the DVD player is turned up and not muted/very low. Try different audio tracks on a DVD movie to test. If connected digitally via HDMI, try swapping to analog RCA connections instead. Or vice versa. Try playing audio CDs to see if the issue only affects DVD movies or all audio. Make sure the audio on the disks themselves are okay by testing in another player. If there was a power surge or electrical issue, the audio circuits could have been damaged. A repair service may be needed. As a last resort, perform a factory reset or firmware update on the DVD player.
