No Sound
I had also the same problem. If you see the "digital" sign blinking on the display, it means the DSP to not start properly. You need to change the IC,
AT49LV002-70TC (IC
817 ) at DSP board (Denon P/N 262 3010
006).
Trying to add Wii, but no video only sound.
The manual says you can get an optional Component Video cable (RVL-011) for the Wii. There is apparently one unused Component Input on theDenon where you could connect it. You would still have to use the Red/White analog audio.
The Yellow is for Composite Video only. It's lower quality and not compatible with Component Video (3-wire).
In the short term, why don't you just run the Wii's combined Composite video / analog audio cable to the provided Composite Inputs labeled DVD, VDP, TV/DBS, VCR-1 or VCR-2 on the Denon?
It would not be necessary to have BOTH Composite and Component video from any device, much less the Wii.
Ponder this, why do you need to run the video from anything to the Denon at all if your TV has mutliple video inputs? TV's specialize in video, theDenon specializes in audio. You can always extend the Red/White audio cables to reach the Denon.
I have a DENON AVR
Coaxial cable does not support 5.1 dolby surround sound. You could try
setting the unit to Stereo Output instead. Also you could use RCA
cables instead.
My AVR2802 has no sound suddenly. All connections
I started having the same problem with mine last week. Took it to a repair shop and was told it needs a new signal board which they don't make anymore. The repairman also said that he's seen a bunch of that model with the same problem.
My solution - went out and bought a Sony.

Hi, i have the Denon AVR-2802 reciver. My issue is
Component inputs are for video only, and when connected through a receiver then the television also must have a video input coming to it from the video out from the receiver. If you want audio that will be a separate connection from the xbox to the receiver either by digital coaxial cable or optical cable, or composite.
No sound from center channel
Try a Master Reset on the unit. All of your settings will have to be re-entered but it may solve your problem.
For a Master Reset: unplug the unit. Depress the SPEAKER A and the SPEAKER B buttons on the front panel at the same time and hold them in. While still depressing those buttons, plug in the unit to the wall outlet THEN release the speaker selector buttons.
Front speaker connected to A only, turned of A turn
do you get no sound when a and b are off?
suspect "a" switch is sticking in on position if it is an analogue switch it may need cleaning wih some switch cleaner spray and switcing on and off rapidly (do this with the receiver switched off) if not the switch may need replacement.
Denon 2802 amp
Dear Armani,
You cannot put de leads from an MP3 player or your TV into the pre-amplified connection of your Denon,
the phono "stage" is a low input stage, your input from MP3, TV, CD, DVD oscasetteplayer is high output (a 5 to 10 times stronger signal)
Try every other stage like tape 1 or 2, this will work just fine,
succes
Technical Problem on my Denon AVR 2802
How good are you with electronic repairs...? Do it if only you are confident...
The way you describe you problem it seems more like poor solder connections somewhere on the board. Usually these are at the voltage regulators where there can be some heat. Also, look for any connections that appear to be grasiny or have rings and resolder them too.
Alternatively, suggest that you take it to the Denon service center closest to you.
Best of Luck..
DENON AVR-3200
I recently downloaded a PDF file from Denon. Just go to the archive files and search for the model of Denon receiver you have and select download file.
I am planning to assemble a new home theatre
Ideally you would have a chance to go listen to the different receivers to let your ears make the decision. Also a local retain store could help you with your service center concerns.
