Put in memory card flashes CHA and says card

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again. Put the card back in and format it.

I use my Nikon D50 for work and I am now required

All digital pictures include Exif Data which shows when the picture was taken and using what camera. Most photo edit programs like Picasa etc will show this data very readily. The times of printing a date onto the photo are gone, though there may be a setting to do it on your camera.

Dark spots on pictures loaded on to the computer

If the spots appear in the same place in each picture, then you have dust on your sensor. Google the words "how to clean a DSLR sensor". You will find sites explaining the procedure with pictures and where you can get the supplies. You can do this yourself...it's easy.

When I use an extender

Hi.

It is usually the lens contact. Try cleaning the contacts on both sides with QTips and isopropyl alcohol or cleaning solution. If that does not work, then replace the lens and see if this changes anything. The extender itself may be faulty.
One common fault that cause this is the extender shutter not opening, have a look. Either than this bad communication between lens and camera can cause same problem.

If you cannot fix the problem, take the extender to a Nikon autorized shop, so that it can be tested on a different camera.

You don't. The D50 does not have the ability to display grid lines in the viewfinder.

Hi i have dropped my d50 and err comes up

There is a motor/gear assembly inside the camera that moves the lens in and out and covers the lens when it is retracted. When it dropped, you most likely cracked or shifted something out of place. A broken tooth does not stop function, but shudders when it hits the gap. A shifted gear, slips and similarly may cause this effect. If it doesn't open the shudder, you get no picture.

You will need to open it up and attempt to repair the mechanics that drive the lens.

CHR message

Hi,
CHR error shows some problem with memory card in camera. Turn Off camera, take out memory card, reinsert memory card and Turn On camera.
Usually this error comes due to bad connection between camera and memory card contacts. Make sure battery contacts are cleaned.
Hope this info will help you.
Thanks.

Nikon auto focus not working and all other

Okay well without repair the unit will not be fixed. the issue is autofocus sensor inside may have failed or is out of range. This can be taken care of at a camera shop. This cannot be fixed by a end user and over a email solution. A repair shop would be the recommended course of action.

Thanks and I hope this doesn ot effect how you rate. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edwy_1a56970cf1ea4620

Need help using the wireless cable release

I assume you're refering to the ML-L3 wireless remote control.

Change the shooting mode on the camera by holding down the shooting mode button and turning the main command dial. You want either delayed remote or quick-response remote. The quick-response remote fires the shutter as soon as you press the button on the remote, the delayed remote gives you two seconds to hide your hand behind your back before the camera fires.

It just doesn't let me take pictures cus of the

First lets try a reset by pressing the menu button for two seconds, if no luck the press both the menu and self timer buttons for 2 seconds... The last reset will reset the camera back to factory default.

If still no luck then remove batteries ,memory card for few minutes. Then remove the lens and check the mirror assembly, do not touch the mirror with your bare hands, use gloves or a plastic utensil. The lens should be down in front of the shutter. If up then try and release but be careful...
After that just fix the battery back in camera and power on. Let me know the result. If the F--- gone the pix the lens and power on again. Then memory card. If you face the error again then the problem occur in memory card & you need to format that. Thanks.

Nikon d50 camera will not turn on.

Does the readout come on at all with a card in it (no. of exposures left)? Try cleaning the contacts on the battery with an eraser and wipe down with alcohol wipe.

Nikon d50 monitor does not work during photo

This is completely normal. The monitor is used for setting menu items, displaying shooting info, and reviewing images. Like SLR have functioned for over fifty years, you take pictures by composing and framing through the viewfinder. Only the most recent dSLRs have the Live View capability which allows you to use the monitor like a point&shoot camera.

I cannot access the advanced settings

Change the setting on your Program dial, try Manual and you should be able to access it. Under certain settings, it will not let you access the advance settings, because you are in a Program mode, like Landscape, Speed, Night, or even Program and Auto.

What does

You haven't provided enough details to be sure of the problem, but I suspect you have either bought a new memory card that is either the wrong type or too large for that camera. If it is still the original memory card that you first used with your camera, try reformating the card.

Shutter stays open

According to what you say, it seems that you selected B (Bulb) as shutter speed (and MANUAL mode).

First, check whether you are on MANUAL mode ("M"); then, check your shutter speed. If it's really in "bulb" mode, all you have to do is dialing the speed button down to figures that match your subject's light conditions and your other preferences involved in the exposure (ISO, lens apperture).

Why isn't my remote firing my camera?

Do you have the shooting mode set to one of the remote modes? If you don't, the camera will completely ignore the ML-L3 remote.

Press the shooting mode button and turn the command dial to either the Quick-response remote or Delayed remote mode. The Quick-response mode fires the camera as soon as you press the button on the remote. The Delayed mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before the camera fires.
